Quirm
The largest city in the kingdom with supposedly more than 32000 souls, Quirm sits atop a tall granite cliff next to a deep bay that sports hundreds of dockings. Quirm is the principal trading city on the east end of the continent of Baleria. The deep harbor and the Kingsriver that feeds into it ensures that Quirm will continue to hold its prominence, with grain barges flowing into the city day and night, and tall oceangoing ships anchor in the bay and at the docks. By far the oldest and richest city, the Sarif of Quirm is a powerful political player in the region, and effectively wields as much power as the crown and the Sarif of Jerebelus combined. Several of the old trade families hold so much wealth and power as to become an isolated elite boasting massive palaces and private armies. It is quite common for these families to hire a good number of the elite Angborg Mercenaries to guard their lives and wealth.
