Chayar
Chayar is a planet near the center of Meliora. It is a mostly-ocean planet and richly populated. The few continents tend to be forested like Earth's temperate forests, with each small continent and island containing its own ecology and evolutionary history.
Chayar has no central government, and as such most contact with the Empire and the rest of the globular cluster is through a few noble lineages. Chayar takes lineage very, very seriously. The older the family, the higher your social status.
Long ago, Chayar was war-torn until a tentative peace settled through the isles. The remnants of that warrior history still exist; battle is an art form on Chayar, and the highest families produce many skilled warriors. Weapons-making is also a highly valued skill, with medicine only slightly behind it.
Precious minerals are common, and most people on Chayar wear large chunks of raw or lightly polished semiprecious stone as jewelry.
Geography
Multiple small isles with a few larger continents (think Australia-sized, or smaller). Somewhat like a mix of Micronesia and Mesoamerica.
