Skaronien

The Skaroniens are an avian-like race of humanoids native to the planet Skarah . From a world at the mercy of its constantly changing tides that cause oceans to drain and fill overnight, the Skaroniens became the perfect species for living atop the towering mesas that remained unaffected. While life below continued to evolve to gain advantage over one another, the Skaroniens remained un-impeded, allowing them to evolve and adapt to being perfectly suited for their environment. From there their society developed. With their ever continuing quest for technological advancement the Skaroniens quickly found themselves as part of events on a galactic scale.

Basic Information

Anatomy

The Skaronien males stand at a normal height of 5' to 7' tall with wingspans that come to 5'-6' in diameter while the females come in around 4' to 6' with a wingspan in diameter of 4'-6' diameter. There wings are the most definable feature that are used in multiple ways, from practical use of flying to mating rituals. They have two arms and two legs, hence their humanoid classification.   Skaroniens are covered from head to toe in plumage of varying types and sizes. From large, robust wing feathers that catch air and are integral to flight, to small, hair like feathers that are tightly packed, allowing to oxygen retention for diving under water (Similar to penguins) as well as keeping most of their skin dry. They only lack feathers on certain parts of the body such as the hands or faces, in these areas feather quills are more sparse, revealing leathery skin that ranges from light to dark flesh tones.

Genetics and Reproduction

Female Skaroniens can start to produce eggs at three points in a year, usually throughout warmer months. However it has been noted that artificial conditions can encourgage greater fertility. The eggs themselves are large, weighing in at roughly 2kg and measuring 19.5cm wide and 15.5cm long.    Gestation for a Skaronien's egg is roughly 6 to 12 months, meaning the average female will produce 1 to 2 eggs a year. If the egg is not fertilized it will be evacuated and disposed of in a dignified manner. Many Skaroniens ritualise this practise, but others do not and see the disposal of their eggs as an inconvenience.    Should an egg be fertilized, the incubation time reflects the Skaronien's long lives. It takes 12 years for a Skaronien egg to hatch, and in this time must be kept in specific conditions. Before the dawn of technology, Skaronien mothers would enter a torpor like state where their metabolism would completely slow down while they kept their egg warm with the father bringing her food and water several times a year. With modern technology however, suchs tasks are usually delegated to large scale hatcheries.

Growth Rate & Stages

From birth/hatching a Skaronien has 50 years of childhood, followed by another 50 years of adolscence. After they have finished maturing, they will remain at the height they reach for the rest of their long lives. if a Skaronien reaches 950 - 1000 years old, they are considered an elder. Skaroniens who reach this old age can potentially live for hundreds more years, exploiting a very little understood aspect of their biology that inhibits their bodies from producing 'bad' cells. As a result, they stop developing cancers, their brains do not decay and their organs remain intact. How or why this happens is largely unknown.    Most Skaroniens who reach this old age wander off into the mountains of Skaro where they become monks for the remainder of their days.

Dietary Needs and Habits

Through their evolution, Skaroniens were omnivores, feeding primarily on Skaronien rice, an abundant grain that grew wild on their planet until they learned to farm it. Fish also made up a large part of their diet, their bodies being perfectly suited for diving under water to catch fish at the surface. However, in their age of sentience, they are able to survive on a variety of foods, but their love of grains, especially Skaronien rice, still remains.

Additional Information

Social Structure

In Skaronien society, outside of asigned political positions, age tends to determin ones social status. Elders are highly regarded in Skaronien society for their wisdom and feat of living past 1000 years old.

Uses, Products & Exploitation

Skaroniens reproduce through laying eggs, however if an egg is un-fertilized it has to be ejected by the female. Typically it is disposed off through incineration, however poachers have been known to steal un-fertilized Skaronien eggs and sell them on the galactic black market. Skaronien eggs can fetch a hefty sum on the black market, and are said to be quite delicious. The Skaroniens however, understandably, have their reservations against the trading of their eggs, being caught in the possession of one in their territory carries sometimes severe punishments.

Average Intelligence

What Skaronien's lack in physical strength they make up for with an extremely well developed mind. They are capable of making split decisions very quickly as well as calculating artihmatic and other academic reasoning.

Perception and Sensory Capabilities

The Skaronien optic nerves are astoundingly well developed, allowing them to see and comprehend things that are miles away, This allows them to pick out details such as prey and incoming danger long before they need to get in close. Their hearing is also remarkably well tuned to small sounds that make them alert to their surroundings. Their ears are small, round holes either side of their skull that are covered over by robust, small feathers.   Their sense of touch is not quite as well developed as their other senses and due to the presence of their small, yet sparse feathers on the back of their hands sometimes manipulation of certain items can be difficult for them, though they are by no means at a strong disadvantage when compared to other sentient races.   Skaronien talons are much, much stronger than their hands, able to exercise triple the pounds per inch of pressure. They are also highly flexible and dextrous, so much so, some Skaroniens opt to do most manipulation with their talons instead of their hands, in some cases there have been monks that opted to live most of their lives with their hands behind their backs.

Civilization and Culture

Naming Traditions

Skaronien names typically have two to three syllables. Commonly starting in a; Dre, Hil, Zi, Kal, Mel, Lor, Cul.
and ending in a; k, ani, ni, miri, kul, tulo, thar   Nobles of the species mostly have a double barrelled name that works with a ' between two parts of the name Such as; Drek'thar, Hil'brani, Tulock'harold.   When nobles name children its the first part of the name that is carried down. Such as Drek'thar names his daughter Drek'hillda   Sometimes a Skaronien may choose to bare the name of the one whos legacy they are adopting, abandoning their old name and identity.

Average Technological Level

The Skaroniens are a highly advanced galactic species, their technology being some of the most capable out of all the galactic factions major and minor. Citizens live comfortable lives due to the advanced tech at their disposal. Their society is highly dependant on cybernetics, as with their species constant desire for personal and societal advancement through technology, the voluntary use of cybernetics is common in Skaronien society. They are considered to have very capable cybernetics systemically, but in aesthetic they tend to be bulky.

Legacy Devices

One of Skaro's major discoveries was the Legacy Device. It took the popular Skaronien explorer a long time to find out what they were actually capable of, the one he found acting merely as a paper weight for a long while. After finding out their innate ability to capture and contain memories and experiences, Skaronien scientists attempted to replicate theses devices to moderate success. The power of the device Skaro found still remains mostly un-told. However the Legacy device soon became a major part of Skaronien society.   The devices would be attached via a surgically implanted port at the base of a Skaronien skull, in this port the small, thumbnail sized tetrahedron would securely attach in. Throughout the course of the Skaronien's long life the device would gather and store information such as their personality traits and physical memories. When the Skaronien dies the device is removed and kept by their family as an heirloom. Machines have been made that allow others to neurally connect to these devices once owned by a passed loved one to effective still feel their presence and view fleeting memories.    In some cases, Skaroniens opt to remove their own Legacy and place someone else's into their implanted port. the result of this is often a slow adaptation to more or less becoming the person who's Legacy they adopted. While it doesn't always work and in severe cases can lead to the death of the individual, it is a sacred process within Skaronien society. To abandon ones self to continue another's legacy is no small undertaking.    Many Skaroniens have these Legacy ports as a cybernetic implant, with roughly 60% of the population being equipped with one. The port also controls their ability to connect to others de-attached Legacy devices.    When it comes to military exploitation, these devices are used by the Skaroniens not only as 'dog-tags' but as a means to uncover any last memories of soldiers, thus uncovering potentially valuable intel. Enemies of the Skaroniens, especially the Sirasion Empire, have attempted to exploit these devices, but have thus far achieved very little doing so, the legacy devices functioning in a very secretive and particularly understood fashion.

Culture and Cultural Heritage

(WIP) At the age of 100 the Skaronien young adult starts within the colleges of the world to find their path within the faction at large. within the college there is seven Paths which are as the following:
Path of Science Path of Politics Path of War Path of Engineering Path of Culture and Religion Path of Commerce Path of Medicine    Generally, the Skaronien individual is assessed and depending on their choices they are placed into an appropriate catagory, though they can choose another path if they wish, though it is a lengthy act to appear the process. However, if a Skaronien is going to change their path, they generally do so by around age 150 - 200. After this their mind becomes wholey focussed on that path and the life stlye choices that come with it. Their path of work becomes their life and deviating from it for too long can cause irrevercible mental damage.      Because of this very strict, archetype based society, anything that does not fit in with these paths is looked upon with distaste by the Skaronien people. Creative arts are one such example, being a small part of the culture and religious sector.; meaning many, if not all Skaronien works of art are based on or depicted around Skaronien religion. There are very few free-form artists within the Skaronien people, even those who leave life in the Skaronien Council are often unable to comprehend creative art due to the way their own minds railroad them into one path.    To change paths takes an extreme amount of willpower. However there does come a point in a Skaronien's life which is different for each one where their mind opens up enough to take on another path of knowledge. Skaroniens can be multi skilled, with cognitive thought require them to venture into other areas to better understand their own, but they are unable to go 'too far' into another territory of thought. As a result, Skaroniens work together closely on projects and often in large groups as a result. This makes the collaborative capabilities of Skaroniens very strong.    However, as mentioned, anything that does not fit into their schools of thought is often met with distaste, including physical and mental disabilities. Their treatment of the disabled among their people is nothing short of cruel, with disabled children either being disposed of even before they're born or before they reach adulthood. Surprisingly, even the parents often understand this. Parents to disabled children showing no remorse when such actions are carried out. This same regard is taken for those physically disabled by war or accsidents, if they are unable to afford or fit cybernetics, they are outcast aswell.

History

The Skaroniens evolved from primitive, bird like creatures that flew high above Skarah . Many creatures dwelled within the planets constantly shifting oceans, or in the flooding and draining wetlands. Some even evolved to live happily in both. The Skaroniens needed to be migratory so they could follow the oceans, which stood as their primary source of food. When they weren't eating fish they were eating Skaronien Rice that grew high atop the mesas, these being some of the few places on the planet that didn't flood.   Skaroniens were adept at swooping down and snatching fish from shallow waters. Some tribes would opt to stay in one place, hoarding a bountiful harvest of fish and surviving on their catch until the oceans came and brought the fish with them, while others lived as nomads who followed the oceans. Some tribes even constructed floating towns that travelled with the oceans. Some even split off from their main species and ended up living under ground   Skaroniens weren't a particularly aggressive race by design, evolving as social creatures keen to work together with one another, there for as their society became more advanced they were more keen to band together in favour of fighting each other. The first major city in Skaronien civilization would be named Gil'vasta Val, after the massive that was several hundreds miles in diameter; Gil'vasta. This mesa was home to several different tribes who all banded together to share their food stocks as the seas moved around the mesa. Soon enough the massive super settlement encompasses the entire outer edge of the mesa. This settlement grew and grew until the Skaronien industrial revolution, which by this stage Gil'vasta Val covered most of the mesa as a mega city.

Skaro's Telescope

While there are rudimentary beliefs systems that existed in Skaronien society before, Skaro and his telescope was the major turning point in Skaronien faith. Many Skaroniens believed in a being called Skarah, of who their planet was named after. Skarah was said to be the goddess of all life on their planet, everything from the smallest plant to the largest animals. It was also said that Skarah was responsible for the creation of the Skaroniens. Into their industrial revolution as the Skaroniens began to rely more on scientific testimony over religion, while those who believed was on the decline they were by no means nonexistant.   A Skaronien named Skaro believed very strongly in Skarah, but he was also an incredible scientist. He was convinced that Skarah was real and could be found. He was sure she was out in the stars somewhere. Skaro built a massive telescope atop the highest peak of Gil'vasta. His structure attracted dozens from miles around, as until now, not many Skaroniens had turned to look to the stars for knowledge, and none had dedicated themselves as much as Skaro.   Skaro spent years scanning the sky. He made multiple major discoveries, such as proving how the planet's two moons controlled the tidal shift in the oceans, as well as far off stars and constellations. However no discovery was more important than the metaloid planet of New Skarah.   Skaro spent months peering at the metal planet. He deduced it was part of Skarah's solar system and quite close. It had alluded him for so long due to its shiny surface causing abnormal light refractions, causing it to blend in with the stars around it. He was convinced this was where Skarah, the goddess of life, could be found.   Skaro had recruited a team of fellow believers by this point, and together they built and tested the Skaronien's first space craft using a special rocket fuel that didn't require oxygen to combust and could propel the craft up to dizzying speeds.   After a year of testing, Skaro's rocket was ready to fly. He and a select few individuals began planning to make the first trip to what they were now calling New Skarah. They had calculated it would take years. Historical records are unclear on how fast the craft went exactly, but the journey from Skarah to New Skarah took roughly 60 years, and then there was back again. Journeys after that varied, but were often less, until the Skaroniens discovered hyperdrive technology, where the journey became doable in minutes.   With their specially modified rice plants and hydration condensers Skaro and his crew set off with a crowd of thousands having come to see them go. 60 years later when they finally landed on the metaloid planet they discovered it had a breathable atmosphere that was artificially generated. Skaro's first expedition lasted just over a month before their supplies ran low enough for them to head back. While there Skaro didn't necessarily find the truth he was looking for, but found what he believed were strong hints such as artistic depictions on holographic projectors. It is unclear whether these depictions were accurate to what Skaro claimed, but the way he presented them when he triumphantly returned to Skarah convinced the entire population that Skarah very much could exist. Some took it quite literally and flocked to join Skaro's cause.

Legacy Devices

Skaro would make several more trips with different space craft, each time going further into the massive metaloid planet. He would discover confirmation of alien life in the form of crashed alien ships and biological samples as well as technological discoveries. Skaro brought back with him the basis of Skaronien cybernetics, something which would later become a massive part of their society.   Skaro's biggest discovery however was the strange tetrahedral device, silver in colour and the size of his thumb. He called a New Skarah Emotional Reader. He studied this strange device and noted that when it was in his presence certain crystal like stones in it would change colour depending on his mood and the emotions he was exhibiting, it also seemed to 'latch' onto him, only responding in such ways to his emotions. He found a number of these devices on New Skarah, giving them to his crew as souvenirs of their great journey.   One of Skaro's crew who possessed one of these Emotional Readers died tragically in an accident, his family recovering the Emotional Reader to keep in memory of him. While it didn't exhibit its typical behaviour, the family members did note a strange emotional presence, as if they could feel their deceased son was still with them. Skaro took notice of this, studying the device of his deceased crew member. He was baffled by it, eventually resorting to wearing it on his head for a prolonged period of time. After wearing it on the back of his neck for some days he woke up like he never had before. He seemed to be able to feel every emotion of his former colleague, he could access every memory as if it were his own from the time he handed the device to his colleague. Skaro partnered with top Skaronien biological and anatomical researchers and upon dissection of multiple Skaronien brains they found an organ at the base of the rear cortex that had previously been believed to be a left over product of evolution, instead it reacted directly when the Emotional Reader was brought close to it. Eventually the Skaroniens managed to figure out how to build their own version of this device that seemed to capture the essence of the person it was worn by, they became known as Legacy Devices and would become a big part of Skaronien culture.

Skaro's Disappearance.

Skaro had become a lot of things to the Skaronien people, a cultural icon, an inspiration and perhaps the most significant; a religious leader. Thousands upon thousands followed Skaro's teachings. While Skaro himself would never meet Skarah, he would find enough evidence to convince most of the Skaronien people of her existence.   Skaro's discoveries he made on his multiple voyages to New Skarah, technological and religious changed Skaronien culture forever. All these things were eventually key in pushing the Skaroniens into the space age. However, on Skaro's 10th voyage, he never returned. He was reaching old age at this point and the most commonly believed theory is that he knew he was dying and wanted to die on New Skarah.   However the one thing Skaro never shared with the Skaronien people was how to get to New Skarah. Most of his personal notes were lost when his former home fell from the cliffs into the ocean below, a vast majority of his research was lost including the ways and means he used to travel to the exact position of New Skarah.   Instead of fading away however, many thought Skaro would return one day, and like his thousands of followers had done before, they waited with anticipation. Thousands of years and multiple Skaronien generations passed. Many forgot about Skaro and failed to pass his teachings down, but there were the devout few that made sure Skaro and his teachings remained in the public eye, even as the Skaroniens ambitious new leader, Drek'Thar came into power. It was he who catapulted the Skaroniens into their age of galactic expansion that would eventually draw them into the Galactic War.   _________________________________________________________________________________

Return of Skarah's Chosen

It was said by the Monks of Skaro , the religious group formed by Skaro millennia ago, that someone would find Skaro's Legacy, the tetrahedron shaped device that stored his entire mental presence on it and lead the Skaronien people to their ultimate destiny. This idea was so central to the Skaronien religion that almost every one of them knew of this prophecy. Which made it all the more significant when Drek'thar was discovered to be in the possession of Skaro's Legacy.   Skaro had married ------, a member of the ------ Skaroniens who dwelled underground rather than above. Skaro's marriage to ----- had began as a political move in order to stop infighting between the two divisions. Over time, the Skaroniens on the surface forgot about the --------, and before long, they were but a myth to the Skaronien people. Before he disappeared, Skaro gave his Legacy to his wife, who kept it safe until Drek'thar discovered her and her people living underground.    At this point, Drek'thar's son, Drek'thul, had returned from obscurity and had re-taken his place at the top of the military command structure. He was determined to drive the Skaronien people forward, but in a way that would surely lead to war with the other factions, something Drek'thar did not want to happen again, the Skaroniens having only just come out of the Extinction War.     Drek'thar knew the only way he could divert the people's support away from Drek'thul's crusade was to take on Skaro's legacy and fulfil the Skaronien religious prophecy. A massive ceremony was held on Skarah as Drek'thar planned to become the long lost prophet. Drek'thul tried to stop his father, but was unsuccessful. Drek'thar took on Skaro's legacy and as a result could see everything Skaro knew, felt everything Skaro felt. The experiance very nearly killed him and took a severe toll on him mentally and physically.    People all over Skaronien space rallied to the new prophet, pledging their alligiance to him. The mysterious Monks of Skaro also pledged their undying alliaignace to him. This caused Drek'thul's support for war to drop expodentially. For perhaps the first time in a thousand years the Skaronien people were divided. Some flocked to Drek'thul's cause, and others to Skaro, who reprisented the Skaronien council and its head, Drek'Hilda, his daughter.  _____________________________________________________________________________________

The Phoenix Ascendant

Drek'thul's support for war had reached a low point, so much so the council opted to strike a deal with the Sirasion Contingency who they were fighting with at the time. This enraged Drek'thul and he immidiately defied the orders to withdraw forces. A civil war quickly broke out, and with inferior numbers, Drek'thul was set to fail.    In an attempt to create his own prophecy, he launched a daring wait on the Legacy Archives on Skarah. The archives being the place where the legacy devices of many important, high ranking and revered individuals are stored; including some of the greatest tacticians in Skaronien history.    Drek'thul broke in and stole a number of legacy devices from some of these military minds and dareingly absorbed them all. He took on the title of Phoenix Ascendant and vowed to bring the Skaronien people into a new age of prosparity, where in the galaxy they would no longer be pushed around by the other factions. His place to a degree worked, and a number of Skaronien commanders and their forces defected to join his cause.    write a small sub segment about the phoenix ascendant.

Common Myths and Legends

Ancient Skaronien History. (As told by the records from the Monks of Skaro)   The species known as the Skaroniens at first came from the goddess Skarah. She was one of the God-like creatures of the universe that fought alongside Siros before the known conception of the universe in itself. Skarah was known in this unity of god's for her advanced knowledge of healing and light magic to allow herself to aid her companions and lead the way through dark times in the battle that befell them.   After the galaxy was created where the gods saw themselves as watchers to the universe Siros went forth to create a race that reflected what he was but without the curse of being a god. Skarah saw this as a good idea she took to make her way into this galaxy they have founded and started her long Hunt to find a world that would be best for her creation. After long travel she found herself at the planets that had a strange rotational motion because of the twin moons that rotate specific orbits that allowed the oceans and waters of the world to not stand still in one place but to migrate across the planet surface. Already the planet started to see in abundance of life but the life upon the planet already showed a lack of understanding on how to survive on such a chaotic new world that was created by the gods. One of the creatures that seem to be finding their way around the planet was a small breed of bird and skara herself being a humanoid with bird-like features wings and a beak and feather plumage she saw these creatures as something she could nurture into being humanoid avians like herself.   Skarah's gift with manipulating healing abilities allowed her to pick the correct type of birds upon the planet. Thanks to this she found the falcons and eagles of the planet to be the best choice for her species to begin. Over the countless years after she was able to manipulate the birds bodies into changing from that of simple Avian types, but making sure she did not lose what made them unique as birds of prey the eyesight they're spectacular hearing and of course the key item that she herself had the remarkable strength to keep not just a bird in flight but it's new humanoid shape.   Finally with her manipulation of the birds growth cycle she was able to make the first Skaronien people; they were only primitive at this time but already they showed great progress advancing quite quickly into what the humans know as the stone age living in houses that they suspended from trees made out of stone and branches. Civilizations popped up across the globe but so too did the natural progress of life if other species were being born on the world from the natural progress of the creation of the galaxy founding species that would pop up on habitable planets.   Skarah at first I wanted to keep a close hands on touch to her people. They were still learning rudimentary language of their own but at the same time she wanted to make sure that her creation was as perfect as she saw them to others that may look upon them. As small conflicts start to pop across the planets with the other races that have started to come forth into the currently occupied planet small battles and wars raged between these alien creatures in this Skaroniens. Skarah at first tried to help her people understand diplomacy and negotiation with the other tribes but it was too early in the Skaronien people's understanding to not turn to basic instinct to fight and survive as a race.   The One Named Skaro.   With the fighting going on, Skarah started to weep for her people unable to advance further the Skaroniens more than they already have achieved. A Skaronien started to emerge from the flocks as a natural leader, His name was Skaro, and he started to build unity with the declining clans of his people to fight back and retake ground.   Skaro was given the job of leading his people with a heightened sense of intelligence and purpose due to Skarah's manipulating his options with relics she had left behind on the world to aid him to a higher level of intelligence she couldn't give to the original Skaroniens on the planet. With Skaros leadership the Skaroniens started to advance in the mental capacity and lead them into a brighter future.   But with the continued meddling Skarah was too occupied to notice a world threat. In the far off galaxy she was in other races and had raised and formed into empires around her little world where she kept to her own creations. To try and hide what she was making she shielded the world to make the space seam empty as to not be interfered with. But even that couldn't stop one outside influence when he happened to stumble across the Skaronien home world.   A Creature from a far off civilization called the Necrophytes found the world and saw what the Goddess was trying to do. Leading him to decide to mess with the Skaronien people. He used his influence and posed as a god amongst the people. Leading a select few away from the teachings of Skaro, to make new cities with the pure purpose to worship his visage and the name of Seraphon. Seraphon was seen as the god of lies and darkness in the Skaronien culture from that day on leading to civil war between the two factions of skaroniens Skaro against Seraphon’s new Skaronien subspecies.   After a time of fighting the Seraphon Skaroniens started to change in physical appearance and started to take to living in smaller cities on the surface of the world instead choosing to make large cavernous subterranean cities. Their appearance changes lead to the males of the people becoming smaller and stockier while the females became stocky with large necks towering over the Skarah Skaronien. The most noticeable change that was to happen was the wings of the Seraphon Skaroniens vanished completely, changing that for strong talons on their feet for climbing and the muscle density to be able to scale cliffs with ease.   Seraphon himself left soon after his transformation of the Skaroniens he took was complete but not without bestowing a leader for the people he made and granting knowledge of arts of combat and conjuring of energies to be effective in fights. The leader was a female with the name of Ires'Krolta the Matron. She was by far the tallest of the females in the culture so far and most talented with her taught combat style.   The civil war ruled over the planet for many more years forcing each side to advance further and further in their struggle to not be crushed by the other. Skaro made the Monks of Skaro who he trained in single armed spear combat against the fierce glave users of Ires’krolta forces. After what felt for Skarah a few years a peace was made at the hands of Skaro and Ires’Krolta. The two sides had agreed that they cant keep fighting like this or it will destroy not only them but the planet they call home. An arrangement was made between the two leaders and a Political marriage was made to solidify the peace.   :Excerpt from a scripture within the Monks of Skaro Temple: “It was said that the sight of the two bonding together to stop the fighting Skarah Sighed a joyful sigh and shed two tears that fell to the ground, They formed the two star light diamonds that now don the marital bands they were.”     The war ended and both sides found a respect for one another that they never thought they’d share within their life times. Skaro and Ires’Krolta Went forth to have four children. Two were symbolic of Skaro’s kind and the other two that of Ires’s kind.   But the peace was rudely interrupted when Seraphon returned to see the madness he made over and the people he made friends with the ones he took them from. With a cruel heart he stole away Skaro and his two Children and set to work wiping what made Skaro who he was from the body altering his memories and appearance to that of another Skaronien implanting memories of a new name “Drek’Thar” and his Children “Drek’Hilda and Drek’Thul” before dumping him and is offspring in their respective capital city.   Skarah watched horrified as she tried to chase down Seraphon but unable to keep up with him as he set to work his last verdict sealing away his race below the ground locked away from Skarah and her Skaroniens meddling ways. Once his work was done he turned to face down Skarah. The fight went on over the skies of the world leading the people below to watch in horror and fight knowing truly their gods were real and finally sought to bring the end of each other above their home. It was not documented fully how the fight went only that the sky lit up with flashes of bright gold and deep blue as the two collided over the fate of the world below.   After two days by the Skaroniens people time. The flashes stopped and they saw no more of the two creatures they knew as Skarah Goddess of Light and Healing or of Seraphon the God of Lies and Darkness.

As a result of their avian heritage, Skaroniens are not the most physically durable species. They have weak bones that are designed for less weight over toughness. Their muscles are also on the weaker side when compared to species such as HumansSirasions or other species of that stature. This does make them incredibly light on their feet however, and to combat this they often choose to replace limbs for cybernetic counterparts that are tougher and more specialised. Due to the lack of culture surrounding body image, voluntary limb replacments are common place in the Skaronien people.
