Human
"Humanity endures, what ever the cost" - UnknownHumans are one of, if not the most widespread sentient species in the entire galaxy. Spanning from tip to toe, inhabiting a vast, un-countable amount of worlds. From hostile lava planets to frozen plains of ice, humans have adapted to live almost anywhere be it through technological advancement or specific evolution. It is estimated that over thirty percent of all sentient species are direct off-shoots of humans, with many more sharing a lot of similar physiology. Humans however didn't become so widespread for no reason. Because of this high adaptability they were the perfect race to be dominated as slaves. For millions of years humans from nearly every stage of civilization were taken from their home world of planet earth and exported as slave workers, helping to contribute to a number of alien civilizations successes.
Basic Information
Anatomy
Humans are renowned for adapting to the environment that they are in, and this occurs biologically as well as technologically. Humans born on high gravity worlds tend to be shorter and have higher muscle mass, while other born on low gravity worlds or even in space can be taller and leaner. Skin pigmentation can vary as well, from pale white to dark brown or even near-black, depending on the type of light that their civilization is exposed to. Changes like this are often brought on from the humans adapting to live on a certain planetary environment such as a cold ice world or hot desert world and have taken hundred of generations to fully manifest, while in other cases it had been proven humans can adapt extremely quickly.
In further removed off-shoot races, the rules are less specific. It widely debated that human DNA patterns can be found in a large amount of other sentient races that share a similar appearance, thought the full truth is yet to be discovered.
Genetics and Reproduction
An easy way to tell a human off-shoot species is the way they reproduce, throughout these other races their reproduction habits are generally very similar, if not exactly the same as humans, with children being born after a gestation of around nine months.
Ecology and Habitats
Humans originated from planet Earth, a world with a multitude of climates. The most successful civilizations existing in temperate regions of a mix of solid land mass or bodies of water on a planet with an oxygen rich atmosphere. The most successful human societies can often be found on such desirable worlds.
Biological Cycle
The human life expectancy differs wildly depending on where in the galaxy the human group is situated. On less advanced poverty stricken worlds the human life span may only be upwards of forty years. While in more advanced societies humans may be well documented to regularly reach the age of one hundred. There are a number of other means to extend the human life span through advancements in medicine and technology that are employed all across the galaxy such as mind preserving drugs and chemicals to advanced cybernetics.

Major Organizations
History
Planet earth, the birthplace of man has been subject to pillaging by countless alien species over its lifetime, however one more prolific in this practise than others. The Seradites were a mysterious race of aliens whos origins remain mostly unknown to the present day. They were said to be long and slender with grey to off-white skin, large eyes and lack of any ears, mouth or nose. They arrived on earth back when humans had only recently changed from their walking, ape like form to a more familiar primitive human form. The Seradites quickly realised these primitive creatures were intelligent enough to respond to basic orders and were easily malleable to be shaped into the perfect workers.
For thousands of years the Seradites exported human slaves to various organisations around the galaxy. Most prolifically to the north eastern fringe which was experiencing a massive period of growth. Over time some humans became so heavily adapted to their environment their physical appearance changed so much they were easily mistakable for alien species. Humans of all shapes and sizes began to evolve in their given environments, some freed themselves from their slave masters and others remained in chains, that was until The Galactic Purge of The High Tekno began.
As the High Tekno gained enough power and resources to begin their crusade to re-unite the lost human slave colonies they only gained more power with each world they conquered. Some worlds inhabited only by heavily evolved humans were even mistaken for aliens and also wiped out. Using advanced technology stolen from various alien species the High Tekno saw to it that entire cultures were wiped out and erased from existence.
Humans have always been at the forefront of every big galactic conflict, be that as the High Tekno, The Galactic Rebels or Galactic Alliance, Humans have always been and probably always will be one of the primary driving forces that pushes the galaxy forward.
