"They aren't like us, they keep our brothers and sisters in chains, working them into their graves. Do not be fooled by their advanced technology as they are truely the lowest of savages"
Also known as 'The High Tekno purges', 'The galactic Crusade' or 'The Great Purges' , name it what you will the acts carried out by the
The High Tekno during their rise to power were almost entirely responsible for shaping the current state of the galaxy.
When the High Tekno departed from earth, their primary goal was to unite and liberate as many lost human colonies as they could. Inevitably however, they encountered a vast number of alien civilizations along the way. A very xenophobic practise was quickly adopted when dealing with these alien species. Many alien civilizations used human slaves at this point, but even the ones that didn't were not spared from their hatred. Anyone in the way of the High Tekno's advance would be attacked and wiped out in their entirety, any useful technology being 'acquired' by the high tekno along the way. They would then 'liberate' any humans that they came across by giving them the option of joining their ranks and living as part of the High Tekno or total annihilation. The High Tekno at this point didn't understand that some of the races they wiped out were in fact alternate evolutions of humans who had changed so heavily due to their environment they were almost unrecognisable. Regardless, this mattered not to them. The ultimate goal of the High Tekno was to educate other humans around the galaxy of their heritage and culture on Earth, and even bring them back there, the final phase of this long term plan to unite Earth and expand its influence across the stars.
The north eastern part of the galaxy was in an up and coming golden age before the purges, an age now completely lost to time. It is theorised that if the purges never happened a number of entirely different factions would have become the galaxy spanning empires seen in the present day. As the High Tekno continued to conquer they recruited more humans to their cause and bolstered their numbers. The amount of knowledge and technology being acquired by the High Tekno on a daily basis became so vast many of their planetary invasions and species genocides were seen as little more than tests for their new weapons. This arsenal got so expansive that eventually much of it was stored away in the secretive station of
Tartarus, where most of it remains even after the High Tekno were long gone.
After mass deploying this technology and others like it, the High Tekno were able to entirely erase planetary cultures. They did this on a massive scale, including to the Seradites who were known to be the biggest exporter of human slaves.
The High Tekno purges continued all the way until they were beaten by
The Sirasion Empire ,a young, recently emerged faction the High Tekno had been ignoring until it was too late. The Sirasions had been silently observing the High Tekno for a while, and knew what they were capable of, but being so close to their homeworld of Earth, the Sirasions knew where to strike. After the Sirasions realised they had no hope of beating the High Tekno in a stand off fight they made the threat to attack and destroy Earth. The High Tekno realised they had been out maneuvered. Desperate to protect Earth, the High Tekno piled everything they had to defend against an attack which never came. As a result, the Sirasions, backed by other races, pushed back against the High Tekno. The High Tekno began to crumble, thus bringing an end to their short, but devastating genocide.
