Session 5

General Summary

December 9th, 764

The Blackiron Bandits enter Spitwater in pursuit of The Exiled Outlaws. Initially, they have a plan to have half of the party sneak in and support the other half that is casually walking in, but upon being spotted by the first civilian of the town, loud knockings begin to permeate, and soon the whole town is on alert. The people here seem to be commoners, however, they are all outfitted with revolvers that shoot low magic crystals and begin to fire at the bandits screaming phrases like "For The Jailors" and "The Fallen Will Not Rise"!. Leon and Zelroth begin to decimate the townsfolk with arrows and eldritch blasts from afar.
Donald Puckett, Al "Rex" Jones and Romero "Shepherd" Theriot all run in to try to get close, however it is revealed that Shomei Tamashi has a massive cannonlike construct that begins to pelt the battlefield with massive damage in huge swaths of land. As she fires she taunts Romero "Shepherd" Theriot about his past. She tells him that she was the one who stole his dad's plans and set the place on fire, killing them and trapping him in his current metal suit. She continues on about how that suit was a mark 1 prototype for robots to be able to use Low Magic Crystals, and how the construct she is in now is the newest iteration of what he was to be.
As the battle progresses the bandits make it through the long canyon. At one point Zelroth summons a magical ghost from the body of one of the townsfolk who then attacks and manages to kill a few others. Eventually they get close to the construct and Shomei Tamashi.
Upon getting closer the constructs attacks get stronger, and Zelroth and Romero "Shepherd" Theriot go down in the fight, but give Al "Rex" Jones and Donald Puckett an opportunity to get onto the constructs platform and put on massive damage until it ultimately breaks.
Shomei Tamashi falls out of the construct and attempts to run away, however she is sniped down by Leon and locked in the gallows.
The party took a short rest having Zelroth and Romero "Shepherd" Theriot come to and then interrogated Shomei Tamashi . Romero "Shepherd" Theriot made a point to thank her for his circumstances, and he was able to find the truth about the machine god. But then they did not get much out of her when pushed to talk about "The Fallen" and "The Jailors". They ridiculed her about how if their cause was so richoues, then why couldn't they spread the word. Frustrated ultimately Al "Rex" Jones ended her life. When she fell to the ground her skin became a very very pale white under her own blood.
From there Donald Puckett reccommended that the party head towards the nearest Frontiersmen outpost which they agree. When there they quickly find out that Satori Tamashi the last member who presumably has the payload they are after was spotted heisting a train heading towards the Southern Territory.
Everyone is confused as to why he would head there. Most people had assumed that the brother and sister would be heading back to the mines where this all started, however, that wasn't the case.
They ride the familiar train which they fought Mágos and head towards the southern territory.

December 10th, 764

They continue to ride the train to Falgondrai. The scenery changes from the red clay canyons to the duned deserts of The Inagi Wastes.

December 11th, 764

They continue to ride the train to Falgondrai. They pass the The Inagi Wastes and head into the Suronto Ice Fields . The landscape changes from the duned deserts to a true iced tundra. Few trees are out here, and all but a few ice creatures live.

December 12th, 764

The Blackiron Bandits arrive at the train station located at Falgondrai this is the last settlement where things are shipped from before the true wastelands further south where the mines within the Southern Territory are located. Upon arrival, they find that the place is on fire. Talking to a wounded soldier they find out that Satori Tamashi had arrived and fought to take a train to head south. However, the soldiers here stood and fought and were able to blow the tracks, keeping him from gaining speed and having to travel on foot. Donald Puckett says that he has to take care of the tragedy that has happened here, but gives the Blackiron Bandits all the supplies he can find, and wishes them godspeed to catch the final member of The Exiled Outlaws .

December 13th, 764

The bandits trek through the wastelands of the Suronto Ice Fields. Nothing is alive here. All the trees are frozen trunks of their former selves. There are no animals, there are no plants. There is only permafrost. They travel all day.

December 14th, 764

The bandits trek through the wastelands of the Suronto Ice Fields . They travel all day and gain a level of exaustion.

December 15th, 764
The bandits trek through the wastelands of the Suronto Ice Fields. Upon sunset Leon spots a figure, plainly clothed, heading south in front of them.
