Session 22: The Town Report

General Summary

Magnar once again wakes up the group after the horrible fights. He meets Archi and enters the house to decide on what to do with the spoils from the bag. Archi goes to ask Arne to go on an adventure. Arne agrees and asks Archi to take care of Magnar and be a good host to Magnar.   Archi offers Magnar something to eat, to which Magnar agrees. At which point Archi heads into the kitchen to find out there's nothing in the cupboards (somehow he calls these a fridge whatever that is). Which makes him decide to misty-step towards the bar to get some food from there. Once in the bar he meets a small female halfling who follows Archi back to the house with food.     Archi uses misty steps to get back into the house and makes sure to take the Halfling with him.   Magnar asks why is there a Halfling running around the house, and did Archi accidentally abduct a child?   The small halfling is still a child who stares at Magnar. After some time Archi says that it is his child to Magnar after Magnar asked. The child eats the food that was meant for Magnar and they keep trying to communicate with the child but nothing seems to work.     The group decides to take the child to the Burgeaters to see what options are left, they decide to head to the grove to get a clear view of the languages the child understands. Once there they come across the griffon and the dragon, the dragon calls the child tainted.   Archi and Magnar not understanding. Arne does, but doesn't mention it.     The child walks towards the dragon, the dragon mentions that the child is tainted. The dragon communicates with the child to not use fire in the forest. After some time the child decides to hide and start a fire, after which a small commotion breaks out.     Arne suggests that they might need to lock up the child in the dungeon or something as the child doesn't seem to want to cooperate at all. Which the child understands, the dragon mentions that the child bears the smell of a cult but doesn't have evil intentions.     The group decides to help her, which requires strong pixoe dust according to Emma Duckthorn.     Emma tells that Maisie the pixy queen requires some graveyard soil for a ritual. Which can be gained near the church with Edward the monk's approval. The group meets the pixie queen and exchanges the dirt for some pixoe dust. She warns for some weird effects and a bit of aging when used.   She also mentions that Granny Barrowbye heard about the run-in with the Hag called Adalwolf.   Turns out they have a travelling companion and he appears t obe some type of Dragonborn and a "barbarian£ fro moutside the Frankish Empire.   The group returns through the portal back to Eschbach and uses the pixie dust to make the child an adult.
