Session 20: The Hag's End? Report

General Summary

The group of Alice & Archi travel down the valley to where the cave is. At this time Magnar catches up with them. They notice groups of people (a mix of spellcasters & clerics/priests) gather hearby.   They travel into the cave finding the burned clothes of the Baobhan Sith that Archi burned. They take this, at least Archi, and travel on down. They arrive at a large open cave with stairs and a large circular hole to one side. In front is three witches and a group of Baobhan Sith in front of them, and one being operated on with burns.   It is the Baobhan Sith that Archi burned. He sends her a message saying hello.   She turns and looks at the party and lets the others know, and they start advancing. Also, smoke is pouring out of the hole to one side with Adalwolf in front of it. A massive dragon head made of smoke is talking to her, and they bothturn and say to the Toy ahs arrived and to either be corrupted with a dragon spirit or killed. Alice is to be the victim and sent back into the Feywild to carry out sone nefarious missioin.   They wuickly escape with them following trying to cast spells at the party.   Making it out, they hear Adalwolf shouting for them to be hunted down and the toy brought back.   After entering the nearlby woods at the entrance to the valley, they hide there after seeing crows and ravens hunting them from the sky. Magnar hunts a deer, Alice collects some herbs, and Archi starts a fire. Then they cook the deer.   When eating a young female hunter apears from the south with three rabbits and asks to join them. They accept, and she is introduced as Isabelle. After eating and withi it being late they go to bed. Alice checked Isabelle's story and she did come from the south. Both her and Magnar come back to camp and hear Archi snoring from a Tent. Magnar is blasted in the chest with a Ray of Sickness, and appears to have food poisoning.   Turns out Isabelle is one of the Witches and attacks them. They all try to fight back killing her easily.   They travel durning daytime, making it back to town, and then travelling back to Eschbach.   At this point, the group stops at Magnar's and Magnar had bought a Slavic spear & a recurve shortbow. They start helping Anselma and Magnar teach Owle a few tricks, and Archi tries to show Owle a few tricks too. Alice effectively tries grappling him saying he's no good in a fight. Archi leaves to the house.   There he starts preparing his own magic.   Alice wanders off in the middle of the night to look after herself in the nearby forest. Unfortunately the authorities have been informed on the sly by person or persons unknown that she has been corrupted somehow by a powerful Hag. Not wanting her anywhere near Eschback they had the Thieves of Frankia arrange for an assassin to target her. Sadly they were successful.
