Lucifer was an Archangel, who decided to rebel against El / YHWH / Jehovah / Allah. Fallen, or cast out, of Heaven for leading the rebellion that followed, he has been given charge over the Earth to tempt men for eternity, and as the de facto ruler of Hell & the Abyss. From there he rules with other fallen angels of all sorts, and the original inhabitants, all now twisted dangerous creatures, now referred to as demons, devils, jinn, and in some cases the soulless. It seems that the damned is also referred to him and his followers for punishment for all eternity.
Because of his powers, Lucifer is extremely powerful, and can controls the portions of Hell, the Abyss, and the Underworld, as defined by the Abrahamic beliefs. All others there bow to him, and he can destroy or absorb the souls of any of them at any time. He usually allows his subjects to do as they want, in their own layers or pockets of these horrific places with little oversight. As long as they do not go beyond their remits or challenge Lucifer directly, he leaves them alone. From his seat of power at the centre of Hell, he tempts the most powerful of the forces of light, and looks to cause as much carnage as possible to everyone & everything that the forces of light hold dear.
He normally appears with dark grey feathered wings, and ornate armour on his body. There is something ravenlike about his features, especially his nose, swept back black hair, black bright eyes, and swept back ears. Tall & lean he normally appears well over 7' tall, and wiry & lean in build, with fast agile, almost graceful movements. When he speaks he has an air of authority, and be very very persuasive. When angered he seems to grow in size, and will lash out at his opponent, with enough force to obliterate whole legions of Archdukes & Archfiends in one fell swoop.
