Personal history

Eweylona was the fifth princess in her family, and so was sent to the priestesshood of the moon goddess Eleamera. Eweylona loved growing up in the temple, and was greatly looking forward to her future as a priestess. She studied the rites and religious teachings with a pure and faithful heart, dedicated to her goddess and no one else.   However, at her coming-of-age ceremony, her parents saw she had grown into a great beauty and went back on their word. They pulled Eweylona out of the priestesshood, convinced her beauty could be used to secure an advantageous political marriage. Eweylona refused to cooperate with this, and the angered priestesses also refused to ordain a marriage under such circumstances. Her parents went to great lengths - finding powerful suitors and turning to the priests of other deities, but it was to no avail - Eweylona would make her disdain well known and the temples stood strong together. Afterall, if the royal family could break their word with one temple, what was stopping them from doing so with another?   As punishment for her continued lack of cooperation, her parents sent Eweylona to a small human kingdom requesting diplomatic ties. They were convinced that she would be unable to stand living in a non-magical land, and would agree to their terms just to escape it. Eweylona made her own plans - plans to seduce the human king she found there and take his kingdom for her own, forever securing her independence. She would dare her parents to try and force her hand after that.   However, when she arrived in Jost, she found not the high-handed royalty she was accustomed to - but rather, a struggling single father with two sons doing his best for his country and family. Ebener's quiet, responsible nature - and his love for his sons, despite one being illegitimate - won her over. In fact, the entire family did - the very loud elder prince Malson was endearing in his own insistence on independence, and the quiet Braelin was sweet in his single-minded love for plants.   As Eweylona fell romantically for Ebener, he fell for her as well - and the two were wed in both elven and human tradition. The priestesshood of Eleamera was happy to perform the magically binding wedding ceremony without alerting the royal family, enjoying the turn of events as much as Eweylona herself. At the same time, she formally adopted Malson and Braelin in elven tradition - both because she loved them as her own and as a measure of protection against her parents potentially attempting to separate her family in the future.   After a few years, she gave birth to the twins Ayelma and Meir'ril, and was extremely happy with her new life in Jost.    When her parents did come calling, it was far too late for them do more than express frustration. Between her marriage and children, there was no way to retrieve her short of military action, and they were not prepared to go that far.    Her happy life, unfortunately, did come to an end - when Ferrick the Rude usurped the throne from her husband Ebener, forcing their family to run from their home. Her current whereabouts are unknown.
