Pillar of Ashan
The Pillar of Ashan is the photopartum of Tashur. A long, spindle-shaped object apparently made from crystal, it is encircled by its realm. The Pillar is worshiped as a god by natives of Tashur.
Physical Properties
The Pillar is roughly 10,000 km in length from tip to tip, but less than 100 km at the widest point in the center. The object appears to be made of some sort of clear glass or crystal, but it seems to be impossible to damage or chip. A glowing light emanates from inside the Pillar, slowly moving up and down in a roughly 30 hour cycle. This provides a day-night cycle for the top and bottom sides of the realm, as well as warming the top, bottom, and inside. The Pillar remains incredibly hot, even when the glowing light has moved to the complete other side. This makes it nearly impossible to approach unless a creature is completely immune to fire or heat.
