Their only goal is to free enslaved people of all races, without question. This has backfired more than once, when they accidentally set free dangerous criminals.
Those that betray the Firebrands in such a way are hunted and killed mercilessly. Thus the Firebrands often put out hits and offer bounties.
While they may seem cohesive to the outside, the Firebrands have no actual leadership and seem to operate more like a terrorist organisation with multiple independent cells.
Attempts have been made to truly unify the Firebrands, most noteworthy by Tessa Fairwind and Vegeziath Rainstalker, after their rise to power. These attempts haven been unsuccessful, as the Firebrands are way too careful and suspicious to allow for any kind of centralised power.
Even if 90% of them get extinguished, the remaining cells are able to rebuild, due to their decentralised structure. - This has happened more than once.
Active in the shifting Isles. Frequently attacking ships thought to contain prisoners. Spread among many crews, usually undercover.
With Tessa Fairwind becoming the leader of the Council of the Open Seas, they have become bolder in their endeavours operating in the open a lot more.
