Genasi, Guardian Heirs

When, for one reason or another, the guardian Genies of the Shatterlands met their ends, their progeny inherited their responsibility to guard the land, and to bring balance to the forces which threaten to tear the planet apart.

Fire - Ember and Mirri

Ember Brimstone (real name Ember Balthier), son of renown pirate Captain Barret "Flintstriker" Balthier and the Fire Genie, Efreeti. Due to his mother and father's untimely deaths when he was only a baby, Ember was not raised with the knowledge of his importance to the Fate of the Shatterlands. Nonetheless, he found himself chosen by the World-Stone and on an adventure to bring balance to the land once again. Unlike the other Genasi, who grew up alongside their guardians, Ember was gifted his guardian pup when Ember was a young adult. Nonetheless, the bond between he and his fire guardian, Mirri, is as strong as can be.

Wind - Zephyra and Vayu

Zephyra Windborne is the daughter of the Air Genie, Djinni, and has always been a daddy's girl up until his death not long ago. She did not know her mother, but was close for a Cloud Giant named Makani, who unfortunately was possessed by Shar in front of Zephyra and the Crimson 8, and lost her life in the battle. Zephyra takes her responsibilities as the Wind Princess very seriously, but is a bit naive about the world outside of her temple. She is a member of The Blue Banner Brigade.

Water - Cascade and Kairi

Cascade of Isthishia's Grove is the daughter of the Water Genie, Marid, and an unknown man. She was raised under her mother's watchful eye until recently, when her mother fell to some mysterious illness which took her life. The Sea Elves of the temple worked with Cascade to transform the healing grove into a full spa and therapy location. Cascade also looked after Stone, the Earth Genasi, with the help of her water guardian, Kairi. Cascade is mature, and carries herself in a confident manner, putting people at ease with her sultry voice. She is physically strong and emotionally intelligent beyond her years.

Earth - Stone and Terra

Stone Rockheart was not born to a mortal mother, and instead grew from the Earth Gem stolen from his dying father, the Genie of Earth, Dao. He was left with the Water Genasi to be kept safe until the Crimson 8 arrived for his aid. He is younger than the other genasi, appearing to be similar to a human boy around 8 years of age. His guardian is named Terra, thanks to Cascade, who convinced Stone not to name his faithful companion "Rocky". Stone is shy, but likes to make new friends and is determined to prove himself on the journey to bring balance to the land.
