The Verdant Reach
Codex Solvaria: The Verdant Reach
Region Type: Riverlands & Highlands – Eastern Solvar
Renown: Fertile, storied, and deceptively serene
“The Verdant Reach blooms with life and a rich history — but even the brightest gardens hide roots of ruin.”
The Verdant Reach is Solvar’s emerald jewel—a cradle of civilization and a region where nature and history entwine. Its land breathes with abundance: vast floodplains, meandering rivers, tangled jungles, and mist-wrapped highlands that shelter both relic and rot. Life thrives here, but it does not forget.
Two mighty rivers—the Tanli and the Senrin—carve green lifelines through the lowlands, feeding ancient trade routes and sacred groves. Above them rise towering mountains, arching from the southeastern coast westward and northward like the ribs of the earth itself. These highlands form a natural barrier—protecting the Reach from The Ashen Plains, The Sorrowed Expanse , and The Wildmarch.
Though the Reach flourishes, its history is layered and fraught. Old empire estates, collapsed temple-fortresses, and spirit-haunted groves dot the hills. Beneath the canopy civilized ambition, divine tradition, and rebel memory coil together—sometimes in harmony, often in silent war.
House Alowen holds the Reach’s heartland, but its grip is contested. The Preservers cling to tradition. The New Dawn stirs. The gods grow quiet or speak through unwanted mouths.
The flowers are bright
The roots run deep
And something beneath them still moves.
