Once the fertile, golden heart of the Veyron Empire, the Ashen Plains are now a gray sea of ruin—a desolate expanse where fire and time have devoured all but memory. Withered grasslands give way to cracked roads, burned-out villages, and the skeletal remains of imperial ambition.

From the smoldering crown of Caer Hanin, the empire’s fallen capital, the plains stretch outward like the rings of a dying star. Collapsed temples, shattered aqueducts, sunken keeps, and silent cairns dot the land—haunted by ghosts, spirits, and the weight of a thousand broken oaths.

Even now, the wind carries embers that never cool. Farmers who return to reclaim the land speak of soil that rejects the plow. Pilgrims walk the roads in silence, heads bowed, as though the land itself grieves.

Yet amid the ruin, memory lingers. Relics stir, and those with old blood or strong will may still awaken the echo of empires.
