Westwood
The Westwood forest is a large area of temperate broadleaf forest across a somewhat hilly region. It is the eastern-most ecoregion of the Deepview Peninsula. Most of the forest is of medium density, getting heavier towards the middle before decreasing as the forest gives way to montane forests and eventually rising into steep mountainous paramo plateaus. The forest stretches for a few hundred miles north and south, capped on the southern end by hilly plains. To the north, the forest continues to bloom out, beyond the scope of the Deepview Peninsula.
Westwood is home to a variety of temperate woodland creatures, including black and brown bears, large beetles, and the occasional mountain lion. Monsters such as goblins, bugbears, ogres, and hill giants, are known to roam the Westwood, especially near the mountains to the west.
This was a small hideout that belonged to a gang of orcs burglars and kidnappers. They had attacked and taken a merchant caravan hostage, until the adventuring party was sent out to rescue the merchant and their companions. The orcs were killed and the merchants rescued.

Ruins, Bluetongue Athenaeum
Coordinates: Deepview- The Bluetongue Athenaeum was a school of magic during the time of the Divine Empire. It was a part of the Bluetongue Sorcerers of Mardushu, a religious and arcane society dedicated to the instruction, research, and understanding of both arcane and divine magics.See Bluetongue Athenaeum, Minor for more information.
Unicorn Grove
Within the Westwood is a sacred grove belonging to the Circle of the Jagged Coast. This grove is small, located in a deep curve of a river behind a tight copse of trees. This grove is also the home of the guardian unicorn of the westwood, who protects the surrounding regions and keeps a watchful eye on the villages along the Westwood. In the year 406, the Order of the Swords of Dawn, led by their leader, Lord Barclay, built the stone fortress called Goloth Keep. In the year 409 a small town has gathered, and continues to grow as the Order cuts down forest to expand their operations.
