History
In the early days of the Blood Taint many people did not know what to think of it and tried to save the infected as much as possible. But all would die and later buried only to come back as Vampires later and go hunting the living. This made it a priority to hunt down all the Dracular as soon as possible and all those who were infect where killed instantly to stop their number from growing. When the last of them were wiped out the Blood Taint died with them. But the diease would remain with the vampire that it created to this day.
Cultural Reception
People these the infected as monster for they will later turn into vampires and prey upon the living. Vampires though see them as a way to increase their numbers and tend to keep them alive until the transformation is complete.
