Content & Updates Roadmap

In this meta article I will attempt to keep a semi-regularly updated roadmap of planned content and updates for Rosepetal.
Any and all timeframes are approximates that can and will change at any moment. As my IRL is still very demanding of me I can't really work with absolute timeframes and hard deadlines. And Rosepetal is a hobby project that I work on during my spare time.

Start A Reading Journal

March, 2024 My reading list is overflowing with awesome articles that I haven't had the time and energy to go through yet. An idea I had was to do it bit by bit in a weekly journal series.

Add Visuals

March, 2024 In order to break up long texts, I should spend more time finding visual elements. As I'm still struggling to draw much of anything myself, this will likely have to be a combination of smart container use and imagery from free/open sources.

March, 2024 Time to give all awesome community-written resources a better home than my chaotic reading list. I thought I could combine it together with a general resources article to list a wide array of nice apps and reads I've found across the internet.

Navigation v2.0

May, 2024 After finishing setting up all categories and index articles, fixing tags and variables, and maybe filling out at least some basic stubs, time to finalize a realiable navigation system.

CSS Theme v2.1

May, 2024 Complete the rest of the components for a complete theme overhaul.

Embrace Stubs

June, 2024 I will likely end up creating a lot of them in order to get the base concepts on paper regardless of how many or few words it takes. They would also help to better visualize how categorization and navigation will work.

Finished Galactic History v1.0

February, 2025 Finish the first draft of Rosepetal's Galactic History timeline. It feels like I need it to get a better grip on the scope of time.[

February, 2025 This will likely first take the form of reading through and polishing some older works, and share them here on WorldAnvil. I've also had some ideas for shorter stories or vignettes to give a bit of look into the lives of various people in Rosepetal.

Plan A Novel

June, 2025+ My long-time dream of becoming an author has begun to awaken again, but realistically, I'm still a long way from being ready to take on a serious writing project for long-form fiction.
