Defences

A well-trained city guard maintains order and defends against external threats. The guard is equipped with a barracks, armoury, and several watchtowers around the city. The city is surrounded by sturdy stone walls with reinforced gates and several lookout towers. It also boasts a citadel where the Duke’s elite soldiers are stationed. In addition to the regular guard, Aeloria can muster a sizable militia from its citizens during times of crisis.

Infrastructure

Around the city, the lands are riddled with water channels of various sizes. Farmers and merchant use small boats to ride themselves and their wares from and towards the city outskirts. Inside the city wall, these channels merely exist as decorative means and the main way of transporting goods are carts drawn by horses.

The central city is build on a hill top that overlooks the entire city region. The inner and outer city surrounding it are build in a circular pattern around this central location with wealthy estates and institutions being concentrated closer to the centrum.

The Outer City

Beyond the Wall

Coupled under the nexus is also the Academy of Elaria, which offers studies in various fields, including magic, alchemy, and engineering. The Vanguard
The Vanguard is a hub for anyone looking to go on adventures and quests. They offer a special beginners training for commoners. Their unique guild hall functions also as a tavern and an inn for vary souls after completing their exploits, or in preparation thereof. The Vanguard.
Etheral Harmony
This guild focuses on the performing arts. Theatres and musical shows are coordinated by the brilliant minds in charge of the college.
College of Pontiffs
Situated in the temple district, this intitution takes on young acolytes and reforms them into devoted clerics and paladins of the faith.
