As the rest were looking over the quest board at the mayor's hall, Liora Windrunner and Gerrith turned up with a serious demeanour and suggested everyone to follow for a briefing with the mayor. Liora announces that while she and Gerrith went on a hunting trip, they found signs of goblin activity and proof that there is another group of them forming in the valley. She proposed sending these four brave and diligent defenders of the town on a quest to Aeloria, the duchy's capital city. Their objectives are:- Find skilled warriors that are willing to defend the town
- Secure a steady food supply for the town to withstand at least the winter
The Journey
After a suggestion from Gerrith the party made its way to Millborough and asked its owner Urok Hey about mounting his flour delivery boats to catch a ride to the city on the Elaris river. After paying a small travelling fine, he agrees, and they are dropped off near the city walls.The City
After finding lodging in the tavern/inn For Cod's Sake, they spend the next day in search of a magic store and found a curious pawn store in a quiet alley way. The owner of Curiosity's Cache offered them a large variety of magic items and gave them directions to the Arcane Nexus, where some party members headed towards to study on their magical abilities.
Yet first the party visited the adventuring guild The Vanguard, where they posted a quest that calls for a skilled party to come to Goldcrest for a month and help defend it against possible future goblin raids. They paid the quest reward up front to the guild clerk and promised an extra 100GP if the party is able to exterminate the goblins.
Over the next couple of days, the party split off to each visit different training locations and work on their adventuring skills. Towards the end of the session, Misa Mu and Anhiri Nolastname took a quest from the vanguard guild that asks to investigate a missing person in the plains north of the city. They travelled for a day and in the morning found tracks leading them to a large wolf that has eaten the girls in question. After skilfully killing it, they took proof of what occurred and returned to the city.
