Dimensions and Worlds
There are Five Worlds, each World containing five Dimensional planes. A Dimension has its own version of Earth, the solar system, Milky Way, all stars, galaxies, and so on.
Often a Dimension may simply be called a world, reality, realm, universe, etc. while a World that houses it will be called a "Sthaanam" ("Dwelling", plural Sthaanaa) to avoid confusion.
The Front World: Dimensions I to V.
The Aos Si: Dimensions VI to X.
Rades: Dimensions XI to XV.
Anesidora: XVI to XX.
The Vale (untouched): XXI to XXV.
The Dimensions are governed by various cosmic entities, and often they or their progeny are the reason so many Dimensions are in different timelines or house different sentient species.
There are some Dwimmerplanes, liminal locations such as the Black Forest or Ameleouth that exist outside the Dimensions, but these are scarce and rarely permanent.

Basic History
About 13.77 billion years ago, the Universe with all of its Worlds came into being. Soon from the primordial chaos various creatures emerged, a form of primaeval abiogenesis set in motion by the stars, planets, and other elements coming together. Eight beings of pure energy achieved sentience, and the oldest was chosen as their leader. In our calendar their birth dates are February 2, March 21, April 30, June 22, July 31, September 21, October 31 and December 22. They set about to explore the Dimensions that were beginning to develop. Their original names, if they had any, are lost to time. But they are still honoured among the Fabae of Dimension XVIII with Faba monikers:Corigon the Careful,
Isthimus the Infamous,
Jelin the Yearning,
Kaliss the Cold,
Muril the Mighty,
Rallimantis the Raging,
Wandolin the Wise,
Osis the Old.
Corigon, ever the explorer, went further out into the darkness of the abyss surrounding the Worlds, against his siblings' wishes. What he found would change reality forever.
Two ancient forces of pure chaos and order, nameless and faceless. Born from Zeus and Thetis, cosmic beings who embodied matter and energy.
A war was fought. During this time new higher beings were born or created and many died. Some fled the conflict entirely and settled in certain Dimensions, their creative power shaping those planes and the inhabitants therein.
The two faceless ones were cast away, kept behind the doors of time. But as the gods grew older and less wary, they found ways to crawl back in.
