Jarldom of Havdir
The Jarldom of Havdir has a High-Jarl elected from the various Jarls of the major cities and towns in the country. The Jarldoms are passed down to the oldest son of the current holder such as in hereditary primogeniture.
The High-Jarl is elected for life, and has the final authority on most matters, especially those concerning the Jarldom and its peoples. Most of the Jarls can trace back their lineage to the first Tikka in Antir. While the armies of each Jarldom is loyal to their own Jarl, they are also loyal to the High-Jarl. An armies loyalty is expected to be foremost with the elected High-Jarl, however this is not always the case, and there has been a handful of revolts and revolutions in the past where this has been a problem.
At present, in 2360 PA, the capital city of Havdir (which resides wherever the High-Jarl is ruler of) is Ergensos. This marks the tenth generation of an Ergensie ruler in a row, with many considering it a de facto dynasty for the whole country, and in essence abolishing the elective monarchy. This has lead to Ergensos becoming a city magnitudes larger than others in the nation.
