The Iodiwas Concord
The Iodiwas Concord is the ruling organisation of Otiosus, and perpetuates a doctrine of peace. The Concord is a dictatorship ruled by Gox, the current Curator of Peace. The Curator is in charge of all peacekeeping sentiment and missions within the World, and is primarily responsible for spreading peace to the 'violent'. Under the Curator are the Librarians of Peace, select Otions that the Curator or previous Curator hired to maintain peace among the populace of Otiosus. The populace of Otiosus is referred to as the Artefacts of Peace by the Iodiwas Concord, however this title will not be used within these documents. The Iodiwas Concord currently has control over three out of the four major settlements in Otiosus.
Each major settlement has what is known as a High Librarian of Peace, who carries out the will of the Curator in their stead. The only Concord settlement that does not have a High Librarian is Cerul, as this is where the Curator resides and as such does not require a High Librarian. Moreover, it is considered a great offence to call the Curator the High Librarian of Cerul. The Curator and High Librarians rarely meet in person to discuss their plans for their World's future, so it is assumed that the Curator sends the High Librarians missives remotely. In cases of a Curator's or High Librarian's death, a successor is chosen by the two still living leaders. The Otions have been attempting to install or enlist a High Librarian in New Atria, however the Nurnites have been resistant to the idea.
A recent insurgency, known as The Mutated Hellions, have begun rebelling against the Iodiwas Concord's beliefs. They claim that the Concord purports peace and lawfulness rather than truthfully abiding by these values, however the Hellions in turn use violence to rebel against their so-called 'oppressors'. These revolutionaries have been branded terrorists by the Concord, and thanks to the Librarians and the direction of the Curator their threat has been greatly diminished over the past few years.
