Tylio

Tylio is one of the former Wringers who make up the Eddy's permanent population. Her skill area is in large-scale water manipulation. She helps maintain the Dancinglight's Dome around docked boats.
Although Ardez is a more experienced water worker, Tylio is a more active mentor to the Eddy's proto-Seekers. She was never known to the public by name, and as such doesn't carry a negative reputation around with her. Visitors who do the math often don't believe she was a Wringer. Kezlaf went to considerable lengths to hide the fact that most of his Wringers were under the age of twenty. At the time the Unity fell, half were fifteen or younger.

Personal history

Tylio was born the same year as Quarric. When they were two years old, Kezlaf evaluated their potential and found Tylio to be a worker and Quarric a tuner. He took charge of Quarric's training, while Ardez taught Tylio. It was a reasonable division of labor, given that Kezlaf could control water only on the smallest scale, but as a child Tylio was often frustrated by having so little of her father's attention.
With maturity and perspective, Tylio has gotten past her childish resentment. However, she has admitted to feeling occasionally smug now that regular use of the Dancinglight's Dome means her skills are essential to the Eddy, and restrictions on the use of tuning means Quarric isn't allowed to do anything.
