Aktergean Evacuation

Although a relatively minor conflict, the Aktergean Evacuation had profound and far-reaching effects on the parties involved.

The Conflict

Prelude

Believing the Dregs intended to plant an Eruptor in Aktergea's volcano, Delu engaged Alcendis Varen and several of her siblings on a mission to disrupt the plot.

Battlefield

Both sides converged on the location of Third Wedge Camp.

The Engagement

The Eruptor was detonated during the confrontation.  Since it was above ground, it produced a shock wave rather than an eruption, but still a blast powerful enough to kill those standing nearest and flatten every structure in the camp.

Outcome

• Delu, the Dissolvers' leader, died in the escape.
• The Dregs secured Aktergea as a base of operations
• Though Third Wedge Camp suffered no loss of life, several laborers joined the evacuation.  Injuries and property damage put a premature end to the cut season.

Aftermath

Delu's death split the Dissolvers. Almost a third of the members left the fleet. Those that remained were the most dedicated to Delu's cause--perhaps more dedicated than Delu herself had been. Determined to restore island autonomy, the Dissolver remnants proceeded to target the conduit network, becoming a serious threat to the Allied Isles.
Without a functioning Eruptor, the Dregs were forced to modify their planned attack on Mraydor.
