Session 30: Hands OFF the garlic bread!

General Summary

The Wandering Apocalypse decided to stick around in the cellar for a while, despite knowing they had been spotted. Nobody came looking in the cellar initially, and they found themselves barricaded inside. A barricade however is no match for the might of the Wandering Apocalypse. Turns out, nearly all those part of the cults in Vallaki were drummed up by Fiona Wachter, and amassed outside of the house. The Wandering Apocalypse fled upstairs and made their stand there, effectively stalling one of the mobs downstairs. The mob turned to their forbidden rituals, which didn't go quite a splanned, as a swarm of newly obtained eyeballs arose from the stairs. These too were dispatched of, and the other mobs seemed to be willing to wait outside a bit longer, considering what just happened to their companions.
Turns out, they were not the only one in the house. The werewolf they had met in the den gladly sold them out in return for her mate, and as such Strahd was upon their trail, and even looking for Vallthriel before heading to the Wachterhaus. It is here too that Fidchell decided to throw a piece of garlic bread at Strahd von Zarovich. A commendable idea, if not incredibly stupid. As such, he was appointed to cut off the hand of one of his companions, which would've been a difficult choice if Gix Garrix wasn't really keen at trying out a bionic hand. Alas, more disappointment followed as the sword turned out to merely be an illusion, passing through Gix' wrist without harm. Strahd von Zarovich however seemed somewhat impressed by this sacrifice so willingly made.
Strahd von Zarovich, sufficiently amused, excused himself and went on to essentially disown Fiona Wachter for failing him in one simple task. He then disappeared in his trademark mists.
It is here that we are now, with Strahd von Zarovich in possession of both the Tome of Strahd and the Holy Symbol of Ravenkind. The man gave away that the Tome of Strahd is now within his own library, but the location of the Holy Symbol of Ravenkind is unknown.
