Darth Mesgan

As you walk into the grand hall of the Magistrate's manor, you see a man in rapid-fire conversation with another man. The man speaking has a loud, booming voice that you can almost hear, even though he is a good fifty feet away from you. He is dressed in a luxurious blue robe that glints in the torchlight of the hall. He is rather thin, with light skin and shoulder-length black hair. As he continues to speak, you can almost sense the authority of this man.
After the other man leaves and returns to his desk, the Magistrate then comes up to you. "Magistrate Darth Mesgan." He shakes your hand. "As the title would suggest, I am in charge around here. Is there something I can help you with?"

Physical Description

General Physical Condition

Darth isn't particularly athletic, although his youth makes up for that somewhat. His muscles are still relatively well-defined despite the lack of use they normally get.

Body Features

His skin is not pale but rather warm in tone, with the slightest hint of a tan.

Facial Features

His face appears to be chiselled and a small birthmark underneath his right eye makes him look like he is perpetually tired.

Apparel & Accessories

The ceremonial robes of a Magistrate are his usual clothing, although he commonly sheds them for more comfortable clothing on hot days.

Personal history

Darth grew up in a family where his father was also a Magistrate of the Gratic Empire, although this Magistrate was for a larger town out east in Anotaash. From a young age, he was groomed to eventually replace this father, but they had a falling out when Darth revealed that he was more into men than women. Following that, he made his way to the capital, where he became a historian. His studious nature was discovered by the Head Magistrate of the Gratic Empire (of Gratica) at the time, and he became interested in teaching Darth the lawyer's craft. After a few years of hard work winning cases and outsmarting the opposition, he was appointed Magistrate of Plainér Town a few months ago. He's had a rough time getting used to the strange town and its colourful inhabitants, but he's learning.

He is gay and married to Zak Eslgar.

Morality & Philosophy

He studied some philosophy and morality in his spare time as a lawyer, and he became fascinated by the idea that people could do anything they set their minds to. His experience as an openly gay politician has also made him very tolerant of different experiences and reinforced his will to fight the good fight.

While not strictly a taboo, he is generally a bit more cautious and careful about what he does and with whom he does it.

Motivation

Much of his life has revolved around trying to get back at his parents for casting him out when he was young, although he has gotten very close to the position that his father held. Beyond that, he would like to see more diversity in the Empire, and he has been very kind to foreigners living in his town.

He knows a great deal about history and religion from his years as a historian and from what he learned in school.

He knows only a little about the locals of Plainér Town, although he's gotten over this to a degree.

He also knows a bit about foreign customs as well.

Isn't fond of the rowdy miners, but the Foreman Kalir Fodrég is technically in charge of their behaviour, not him.

Due to the coldness that the Temple as an institution gives him as a result of his sexuality, he isn't as much of a regular temple-goer as many would like. This doesn't mean that he refuses to believe in it; it means that his views on them are a little jaded.

He isn't particularly charismatic, preferring to keep his head down and get his work done. He has a reserve of confidence that he can draw on when he needs it, but generally prefers to keep to himself.

As a Magistrate and being the inheritor of the previous Magistrate's wealth due to his sudden death, Darth has more wealth than many. His issue is that he doesn't quite know what to do with it. He has planned on updating the library of the manor and perhaps adding on a garden at the behest of his husband. For the moment, though, the money is being stored in the manor's treasury.
