In the flower shop, you espy a Hayim man behind the counter, shooing away a young boy and pulling out some coins for counting. Once he realizes that he isn't alone in the shop, he puts them away with a flourish, which shows off his rings and his red robe. As you approach him, his face appears plump and his eyes are green and twinkling.
"Welcome to my shop." he greets you, with a voice used to talking to strangers. "I am Darúkk Zaymil, and I sell flowers. Is there a particularly interesting flower you hope to get?"

Darúkk is of a stocky build, with a rounded curves and a round face. He isn't very fit, but he can do some physical labour if needed.

Personal history

The Zaymils are a powerful Hayim merchant family, and Darúkk was born to one of their elder branches, and enjoyed a life of privilege. In school, he learned about the Gratic occupation and the Red Rose War, and he was distraught that his great kingdom could be dominated by such savage rulers. As The Nine Daggers enjoys a positive relationship with the King of Hayim, joining them was simple for Darúkk. Posing as a seller of flowers, he's been to Eleikar Town, Losgate, and Dúrmi, finally ending up in Freebrook after his attempt on the life of the Head Magistrate of Domiel failed. Here, he met Sari Fehaz, another member of the Nine Daggers, and the pair have been planning an attack for months.
The plan had gone smoothly, with the Magistrate being attacked by his stableboy and the elementals attacking the crowded people. But Darúkk underestimated the newly-formed Drakeslayers, and he was arrested and sentenced to death for his crimes.

He learned to read and write at a small school in Bindi, with additional instruction in history and religion.

His cover as a florist is his only legal profession, and he has been practicing it for ten years now.

To Darúkk, the world is fairly black and white, with the oppressive regime of The Gratic Empire being in the dark and the comparatively civilized Kingdom of Hayim being part of the light. Because of this, he believes that ends will justify the means, and he isn't above getting dirty if it means getting what he wants.

Darúkk deeply believes in and trusts in the mission of the Nine Daggers, and he shares their disgust for the Empire. One of his goals is to start a large-scale rebellion in the Empire, trying to overthrow the imperial government.
