Cath Bruig Imperial 7th Legion
The Imperial 7th Legion. Made up of 9,000, professional soldiers and officers.
Structure
The 7th Legion is led by a Lord-General Sigmund. The Legion is subdivided into 3 Regiments of 3,000. Each Regiment is subdivided into 6 battalions, each led by a Captain.
History
The 7th Legion gained notoriety when they, led by General Baelden were sent through a World Knot in the Autumn of 2541 AE to hunt down Soulblighter in the western foothills of the Cloudspine. When they were unsuccessful, they got word that Madrigal had fallen to Shiver at the head of an army of undead and Myrkridia and that King Alric had escaped to White Falls.
Thus the 7th Legion marched from September to December to attack Shiver's flank.
When they did, the combined armies of Alric and Baelden routed Shiver's army west towards Willow and destroying her rearguard.
She returned a week later with an army of Myrkridia and the army collapsed. Their only remaining option for Alric was to retreat east towards Muirthemne.
The 7th Legion would go on to liberate Muirthemne and then defend it against the Myrkridia and then do battle against Soulblighter and Shiver's hordes around Silvermines, distinguishing themselves in battle to the war.
With the end of War Against Soulblighter, the 7th Legion would continue a proud tradition of military prowess, with officers competing for a posting.
