Jorden
Orbiting the blue gas giant Sonnah is a moon teeming with life. With the largest array of racial civilizations in the Klustraa system, Jorden (pronounced yor-den) has achieved wondrous feats with technological advancement and the coexistence of civilization and nature. On this moon are massive civilizations of humans, dragonborn, gnomes, tabaxi and firbolg, to name only a few.
Probably the most well-known parts of Jorden are its three great empires, located on two of Jorden's three major continents, Hupen and Phuayaheth. There are the human empires of Edeya and Achogon, located on the north and south sides of Phuayeheth respectively, as well as the dragonborn empire of Drenora, located on the continent of Hupen. Achogon and Edeya fight frequently due to extremely different agendas, while Drenora actively avoids this conflict, preferring to instead lead their empire into the future, by both technological and societal means.
Slightly less prominent on Jorden are the floating islands of Tenka and the smaller kingdoms pockmarking the continent of Jebesea and northwest Phuayaheth, not to mention the tabaxi tribes roaming the ice caps of Sonnir and Nordir, and the Firbolg communities in northern Hupen. There are also the triton which inhabit the seas and guard the boundary between Jorden and the elemental plane of water. Tenka, like Drenora, stays out of the wars between Edeya and Achogon, though both empires have repeatedly attempted to coax them over to their side, due to the incredible efficiency of Tenka's samurai warriors. The kingdoms of northwest Phuayaheth try to stay out of the war, but will fight on the side of Edeya if they deem it necessary. The kingdoms of Jebesea vary; some will remain neutral unless provoked, others will fight for whichever side offers them more, and still others stand firmly on the side of one of the two empires.
Overall, Jorden is a societal wonder, with civilizations dominated by eight different humanoid races, and inhabited by many others. There are disagreements between these civilizations from time to time, but it is truly spectacular that they have coexisted for as long as they have.
Geography
Jorden is quite diverse in its terrain, with deep oceans leading to the elemental plane of water, as well as mountains and volcanoes formed by tidal forces from Sonnah lining equatorial Phuayaheth. Not to mention the gigantic ice caps Sonnir and Nordir.
Jorden is also quite incredible in the size of its forests, considering how long civilization has had to spread across the moon, though to be fair, much of the plains are still available ground for citybuilding. There is also the fact that the older trees of Jorden seem to have minds of their own, and will try to scare away those who attempt to clear their land.
Jorden is also fairly cold, due to its distance from Klustraa, with the equator typically reaching around 70 °F during the afternoon, while the poles sometimes get cold enough that the top layer of snow is mostly dry ice. The temperature difference between day and night also fluctuates based on where Jorden is in its orbit around Sonnah, as the tidal forces help heat the moon up in addition to the light from Klustraa.
Fauna & Flora
There are many forms of creatures on Jorden, such as the mountain goats of Gondolin Crater and the endangered quasidragons. The different forms of life can range from the glowfish of the deep ocean to the humans that have spread across much of the moon's land. However, there are too many species of creatures to simply list them here, and they will receive their own articles in the future.
Similarly diverse is the plant life. Much of the forests of Jorden grew directly out of the Feywild millions of years ago, and there are still gateways to the Feywild located within the hearts of the major forests of Jorden. While much of these forests are how one would expect a forest to be, with all the undergrowth, flowers, critters and all that, there are some areas under the influence of ancient trees, which have absorbed magic over the millennia and gained a kind of sentience, scaring away or attacking life forms that threaten their home. Just like the fauna, there are too many species of flora to list here, and they will eventually get their own articles.
Natural Resources
Jorden has a wide array of natural resources to work with. Wood is an obvious one, as about a tenth of the land is covered by the major forests of Jorden. There are also, however, ores for various metals such as iron, copper and gold, which are especially plentiful on the continent of Hupen, allowing for major technological advancements within the Empire of Drenora. Platinum, however, is extremely rare, and is worth about a hundred times as much as an equivalent amount of gold. There are also various fuels available such as coal and oil, and foods from the various species of flora and fauna that are useful in agriculture.
