Jebesea

Jebesea (pronounced je-be-say-a) is a medium-sized continent located in the southern hemisphere of Jorden. This continent is filled with kingdoms of mainly humans and halflings, though some dwarves and other races also inhabit these kingdoms. Jebesea has been heavily influenced by both trade and war, with the neighnoring continent of Phuayaheth frequently plagued by war and their other neighbor, Hupen, housing the most successful economy on Jorden. In other words, Jebesea has been largely shaped by its neighbors.

Geography

Jebesea has three gigantic forests which have, through magical means and with help from the various local druid tribes, remained mostly devoid of civilization. There are also a few very wide rivers flowing through two of these forests, and a lake near Bylark Forest known as Lake Romore. In addition to forests and rivers are the Sauquet Mountains, adjacent to the Crayeth Republic, and Gondolin Crater, home of the capital city of Istova.

Fauna & Flora

Civilization on Jebesea is dominated by two humanoid races - humans and halflings - and is also heavily impacted by dwarves and gnomes. There are also creatures such as panthers, direwolves and other creatures roaming the forests of Jebesea which originated in the Feywild, as well as creatures like goblins and mountain goats which roam the Saquet Mountains and the rim of Gondolin Crater.   Jebesea is in the southern hemisphere, on a moon that is relatively cold. Therefore, traveling further south on Jebesea will lead one to a tundra environment. There is not much here in the way of natural geography, though the trees here are mostly evergreens like fir and pine.

Natural Resources

Jebesea is not as rich in ore as Hupen, which is part of why the kingdoms pockmarking Jebesea are not as wealthy as the Empire of Drenora. These kingdoms, however, are not helpless. They are, on average, about as economically well-off as the floating islands of Tenka, though none of them have quite such a well-disciplined military. They have enough ore to make currency and weaponry, as well as some defenses. There is also plenty of wood to go around, though usage of wood is limited due to the tendency of the forests to ward off humans, and various agricultural resources such as sheep, pigs, cows, grains, fruits and more.
