Daggerveil Fight Club
The Daggerveil Fight Club is something that has been around for a very long time, and it is an incredibly large criminal organization that focuses on ranked fighting for money. They used to use random enemies as well as people who would sign up as fighters to fight in arenas, but it is said that in more recent years, they have gotten more and more inhuman, using animals and innocent people like women and children to use as punching bags, bringing them to near death, letting them suffer, but heal up, just to do it again.
Fortunately, William Buyin', Zanfiz Cogturner, Torvik the Minotaur, Autumn, and Shaggy were able to bring the Daggerveil Fight Club to an end, finding the most recent location and sending a large team of Daggerveil soldiers to the location to catch all the criminals mid beatdown. William used to fight in the Fight Club, and was interested in starting again, but overall was glad to turn them in (which was a decision that was long debated by our group), since they were brutalizing women and children.
The Daggerveil Fight Club would often relocate after being found out, but supposedly, the amount of criminals found in this location were large enough to consider the entire clan to be disbanded. The group was well compensated for their efforts, and the city is forever in their debt as this problem that was secret but also underestimated, is now forever dealt with... Hopefully...
Purpose / Function
The only known purpose of the Daggerveil Fightclub is to train the body and the soul, as well as make some decent money. It is said that if anyone can hold their own in the ring, they'll get some really good coin out of it.
Alterations
Unknown. All that is known is that, any time the local authorities are close to finding the location of the Fight Club, they always are able to clear house and move locations before they can get caught.
Architecture
The entrance to this location of the Fight Club is located underneath a dumpster in a secluded back alley behind the Cunning Hog Tavern and Inn in the Slums District of Daggerveil. Under this dumpster, there is a hatch that leads to a tunnel system, where the Daggerveil Fight Club is now located. If the dumpster is rolled out of the way, one can notice an inconspicuous hatch lying flush with the ground. Lifting it reveals a pitch black tunnel. This tunnel goes for a long time, until finally it opens up into a very large underground room, with an inner arena, a large outer circle, surrounding the arena, a section for some offices, other rooms, some training rooms, etc.
History
Unknown. It is said that the Daggerveil Fight Club is as old as the city. People flocked from the arena during the Battle of Daggerveil to protect their city, or so people claim.
History of one of our characters related to the Fight Club:
After the slaughter of William Buyin's family, he was lost yet again. He had yet again lost every single person he had ever loved and turned to a life of crime and violence. He was briefly acquainted with the Daggerveil Fight Club, but at this time, he decided to sign up and become a fighter, taking the name of "The Black Death."
He was a dangerous fighter, beating lots of criminals and enemies, rising in the ranks faster than anyone in the past. He was filled with pure rage and malice, which fueled his fighting. He earned much money from this, but also many bruises and damages. He continued his merchanting and his thieving, but this was definitely a side gig he enjoyed, beating the everloving shit out of people to get rid of his anger.
He did eventually give up that life, attempting to recover from a life of self torment, bettering himself and others, and working towards trying to finish his goal. Killing Lautrec Tennenbaum...
