Zarola Kynigos is the lead caretaker for the Krakonia National Zoo , an extension of The Hunters Guild of Krakonia(HGK) . Her duties include taking care of all the various creatures trapped within the walls of the zoo, a task that is not easy when most of these creatures want to eat her for dinner and/or break out of the zoo and wreak havoc on the population. She mitigates these impulses as much as she can by providing the most habitable prisons she can muster as well as all the food and shelter they could want, but there is always a limit to how much one business can produce.
Shortly before the end of The Unification Wars , Zarola Kynigos, alongside her family including Holter Kynigos , Pantera Kynigos , Orion Kynigos , and Atalanta Kynigos , appeared near Krakonia City as part of the The Effects of the Dawn . Scholars quickly hounded the family, which her husband, Holter, used to their advantage to gain favor with King Daerius Quintus . After the war, Holter Kynigos founded the Hunters Guild of Krakonia, and with it, the Krakonia National Zoo. Zarola took charge of taking care of the animals within the zoo, just as her family had done with the old zoo they used to own back where they were from.
Zarola Kynigos is a sweet, motherly soul who views all the creatures in the zoo as her own children, and extends that kindness to the adventurers she speaks with in the guild. She does her best to make time for anyone who brings in new creatures for study, but she is often busy making sure all the creatures within the zoo are satisfied, a job that, even with multiple zookeeper employees, is still mentally draining and time-consuming.
