Holter Kynigos
This tall, muscular, black-haired tiefling man has sizeable horns coming out of his head and his body is covered in intricate tattoos, almost enough to distract from the Black Kraken Arbiter's mark located on his right horn. He wears fancy diplomat garb, one of his shoulders covered by a cape, his other free to display his pale skin.
Holter Kynigos is the leader of the The Hunters Guild of Krakonia(HGK) , and is therefore responsible for maintaining the most recent intel on the many dangerous creatures roaming Requerm. He does this with the help of his family, each of them taking on a different leadership role within the guild. His job is mostly to watch the guilds coffers, rewarding adventurers that bring the guild information and/or creatures to study, and bringing in gold through tourism and the occasional grant from the kingdom for research.
Shortly before the end of The Unification Wars , Holter Kynigos and his entire family, including Zarola Kynigos , Pantera Kynigos , Orion Kynigos , and Atalanta Kynigos , appeared near Krakonia City as part of The Effects of the Dawn , all of them conveniently appearing near one another, and all of them bearing the Black Kraken arbiter's mark. This was nearly unheard of even for the Effects of the Dawn, as usually there was no relation to those who appeared at any given time or place, so an entire family appearing together at the same time had scholars up in a frenzy. Holter Kynigos was able to use this attention to his advantage, quickly gaining favor with King Daerius Quintus himself. This favor led to him founding the HGK shortly after the end of the war.
The Kynigos family technically hailed from the plane of Theron, one of many planes in a large multiversal empire known as, well, The Interplanar Empire, but this was not the plane they were whisked away from as part of the Effects of the Dawn. No one else has been able to corroborate this particular location in regards to a planar name as a whole, so the closest name anyone can give it is Kin, after the small town the zoo was located in. Holter had explained to Quintus that in this land of Kin, his family had run a zoo for a land similar to Krakonia City, even down to the tavern, known as The Crawl, that had many similarities to Quintus's beloved tavern, The Hook . As part of the founding of the guild, the Kynigos family resurrected their old zoo under a new name, the Krakonia National Zoo . The idea of the zoo is to bring in tourists and adventurers alike. Tourists bring money to the guild, and adventurers can learn about potential dangers in Requerm in a safe environment.
Holter Kynigos is a good businessman, and conveys himself as such, using logic and charisma to convince others that he deserves their money. He can often be found in the HGK or in the zoo, wandering the halls, avoiding the piles of paperwork in his office at any given time.
