The Theologists Guild of Krakonia - TGK

Located in the Sky District of Krakonia City, the Theologists Guild of Krakonia (TGK) is one of the many Guilds of Krakonia that were created after The Kingdom of Krakonia was founded. The guild is associated with all things divine, but in particular, the research and practice of the many different religions that exist in Krakonia. Knowing full well that the kingdom could never have an official religion due to the many, many different cultures that are in Requerm due to The Effects of the Dawn, Krakonian leadership instead elected to take a stance of religious neutrality, known by some as the "Separation of Church and Kingdom," in an attempt to pacify the majority of its citizens. Officially, despite the obvious influences that The First Civilization's Pantheon has on the Kingdom's culture, the Krakonian government allows the practice of any religious belief, so long as that practice does not interfere in the political and/or moral rights of any particular citizen. Resolving the inevitable conflicts with such a broad definition is one of the three main roles that the TGK plays, with only the most major of conflicts superseding the TGK and reaching King Daerius Quintus of Krakonia himself.

The second major role that the TGK plays is that of religious availability. Due to the Effects of the Dawn, there are many citizens of Krakonia that struggle to follow the beliefs of their individual religions from their planes of origin, since there is little in the way of physical locations and/or objects of worship. It is the TGK's responsibility to cater to these citizens to allow for their free expression of religion, which means that it must provide places of worship and new divine focuses, if available. The most common way this role comes into play is with the many "Omnichurches" that exist throughout the kingdom, the most well-known of which being The Krakonia National Omnichurch (KNOC. An omnichurch is a special church designed by the TGK to cater to as many different religions as possible with priests and priestesses trained to preach all of these affiliated religions, with different rooms designed for different styles of worship. While obviously not a perfect solution, with quite a few citizens not believing in a single building dedicated to conflicting religions, it is still a step up from there being nothing available at all for many minor beliefs. At the very least, omnichurches are a judgement-free place for people to freely worship and conduct rituals in a safe, collective environment.

The third, lesser known but still important role that the TGK plays is that of religious research. Religious beliefs are ever-changing, especially as cultures merge together and new faiths spring up. The TGK is dedicated to tracking these developments and delving ever deeper into each individual religion so that it can better provide accurate information for those looking to learn more about their chosen religions. It's one thing for a priest to know everything about their own religion after decades of study, it's another to expect a random peasant with a passing knowledge of their minor religion to suddenly be expected to worship that religion with no guidance the moment they get sucked into a strange new world. The TGK is designed so that there is a place to learn about any religion that a citizen may be interested in, either directly or indirectly. It then, in turn, trains its own guild members in this new knowledge so that they can better provide for the citizenry.

Below is a list of characters associated with the TGK:
Ronan Algodro - Leader of the TGK
Thalia Blissborn - Lead Priestess of the KNOC
