The Clans of Krakonia

After The Unification Wars , The Kingdom of Krakonia was founded, but that did not remove all semblance of individualism from the country. As part of the negotiations, many rivals and enemies formed clans of their own within Krakonia's budding political structure, taking on specific problems for the betterment of the nation while maintaining their own cultural traditions. Typically, new members are born into their clan, but those who are not in any clan are generally allowed to apply to join one depending on prerequisite accomplishments, the details of which are different for each clan. In exchange for loyalty, including following clan traditions and valuing the needs of the clan over that of oneself or others, members of a clan gain access to special quests that normal adventurers are not licensed to take as well as other bonuses depending on the clan. However, as long as one clan member is present, they are allowed to invite allies from outside of the clan in order to boost productivity.   Throughout the year, there are "friendly" competitions between clans as a means of evaluating the strength of each clan. Winners get bonuses, prizes, and are more likely to be recruited for specific causes. These competitions vary in levels of danger, with some being simple team sport competitions, similar to the Olympics, and others are more deadly, such as gladiator fights or other such tests of courage and skill. In these deadlier competitions, neutral (in regards to clans, not alignment) clerics are stationed to both reduce the likelihood of death as well as referee the competitions, but since clerics are not always in the right place at the right time, or simply not skilled enough for specific injuries, some death is always inevitable in these competitions.   The Maelstrom Clan - The Maelstrom Clan is originally from the land of Eorzea, a nation in the Hydaelyn plane of existence. Since the founding of Krakonia, the Maelstrom Clan has been given some authority over The Kraken's Reach navy branch, being the first to be contacted when military issues regarding dangers in the sea are concerned.

The Twin Adder Clan - The Twin Adder Clan is originally from the land of Eorzea, a nation in the Hydaelyn plane of existence. Since the founding of Krakonia, the Twin Adder Clan has been given some authority over The Kraken Reach's special forces branch. being the first to be contacted when military issues regarding special circumstances generally considered out of the army or navy's jurisdictions are concerned.

The Clan of the Immortal Flames - The Clan of the Immortal Flames is originally from the land of Eorzea, a nation in the Hydaelyn plane of existence. Since the founding of Krakonia, the Clan of the Immortal Flames has been given some authority over The Kraken Reach's army branch. being the first to be contacted when military issues regarding land-based dangers are concerned.

The Order of the Burning Heart - The Order of the Burning Heart is a small, but effective order of military experts that assisted Krakonia during the Unification Wars and has since earned the respect of the Kraken's Reach. They are best known these days for their involvement with military operations throughout Krakonian territory, as well as their influence within the AGK, sending many of their recruits out with other adventurers to gather resources, solve problems, and earn renown.

The Cottontail Clan - The Cottontail Clan is the official name of the Sylvildra that allied with Krakonia during the Unification Wars, and is the clan officially in charge of Cottontail Village . Their priority is the continued existence and prosperity of their village, but they gladly offer their aid as guides for explorers in the region.

Clan Furfin - Clan Furfin is the official name of the Vulponir that allied with Krakonia during the Unification Wars, and is the clan officially in charge of Port Furfin . Their priority is the continued existence and prosperity of the port, so they have taken lengths to strengthen the port's reputation as an ecomomic boon to the kingdom, being the place to go for transporting goods along the eastern coast of Krakonia.

The Clan of the Crooked Branch - The Clan of the Crooked Branch is the official name of the Pterasits that allied with Krakonia during the Unification Wars, and is the clan officially in charge of Crooked Branch Village . Their priority is the continued existence and prosperity of their village, but they also play an active role in aiding the various guilds of Krakonia , often sending their own members to become adventurers, soldiers, and scholars in order for the Kingdom to use their ancient knowledge of the land around them.
