Krakonia National Hospital - KNH
Located in the Sky District of Krakonia City , Krakonia National Hospital, KNH for short, is the largest, most accessible hospital in the entirety of The Kingdom of Krakonia , and particularly Krakonia City. It is funded and managed directly by The Physicians Guild of Krakonia(PGK) , and is known for employing the most talented, efficient healers in the kingdom, which is why it is the place to go for much of Krakonia's elite, including its royalty. Diseases thought uncurable, wounds thought too deep, and curses thought too complicated, are all conditions that have been known to be removed by the dedicated efforts of the doctors, nurses, and surgeons in the KNH. Much of this success is due to the one in charge, Faeris , who uses her expertise from her years as the top combat medic in The Unification Wars , where she witnessed firsthand the many obscure, abnormal afflictions that Requerm is capable of inflicting on any living being.
Thanks to the efforts of the PGK, and the fact that it is located in the most prosperous city in the kingdom, the KNH is known to provide exemplary services at a fair price. Many simple procedures can be done for free for any citizen, such as initial diagnoses, quick, basic surgeries, or prescriptions of "essential" medicines. Well, "free," if one doesn't consider the taxes that it costs to keep the hospital running 24-7. More complicated, and in particular, magic procedures do, in fact, cost citizens gold out of pocket, mostly to pay for the quite limited spells per day for the average magical doctor, and the potentially expensive components and/or medicines that it costs to even cast such spells or proceed with such surgeries. Regardless, the KNH is mostly dedicated to emergency operations, delegating less immediate assistance, such as regular check-ups, physical/mental therapy, and other specialized practices to the many other medical facilities located throughout the city. Thanks to all the spellcasters on staff, it generally isn't much of an issue transferring patients to these other locations once they're safely brought into the KNH in the first place.
Additionally, the KNH has partnered with The Theologists Guild of Krakonia(TGK) to provide immediate, divine healing to those that need it. These divine casters are known as "Medical Priests/Priestesses" and are reserved for citizens that can either only be cured by divine magic/rituals or are willing to dish out the gold needed to speed up the healing process. A majority of citizens will never need this service, but for adventurers in particular, this is an almost necessary expense, since the longer they are out of commission between adventurers, the less money they can earn in a lifetime. Even still, the KNH sells plenty of potions crafted by its alchemists that instantaneous healing does not necessarily require the ritualisic expertise of another sentient being, except in certain circumstances where it suddenly does. It is simply another avenue that adventurers can take if needed.
