Transverse Teleportation
"Why do you trust that thing?" Anlyth stated with a scowl.
"You speak to me like that again, and I'll remind you that I am still a goddess, Boy." The Queen retorted back, tired of all the attitude her decision to welcome that Dwarf into the arms of The Quartet. "You and Y'vitol are going to put together a plan for reconnaissance, I'd like Taneth to reconstruct the Portal Nexuses in their Cities with another fail safe. We cannot allow him to be tracked while training."
"BUT HES NOT ONE OF US!" The Arch Valkyrie's wings burned with the light of a second sun. Only for the Queen to rise, a wave of her hand extinguishing his power. A profound silence filling Cathedral, his might suppressed with the might of a god.
Her voice was quiet, firm, commanding. She rarely opened her eyes, and to see the pale green fire burning from them with a fury not seen in eons, shook the Valkyrie. Suddenly reminded, that yes, she was a goddess, a real one. One of the Four, one of the grand architects that built the world, and the sanctuary they lived in now. "I am tired, I have been patient with you and your fury. I have given the Children the right to rule themselves. I have given everyone the opportunity to speak about my choice to recognize one of the Shadow Touched Children as one of my own. He is a Fae, albeit far removed. You are the only one to change your mind, the only one to continually be awful about my choice."
The Cathedral faded around the two as her voice grew louder in his ears, despite the fact that he knew she had lowered her voice again. "Enough, if you want to test his loyalty, then so be it. But, should the Circle decide he is trustworthy then I will not hear of this again."
Anlyth fell to his knees, cold sweat dripping from his brow. The Circle staring down at him from their seats around her throne, Y'vitol having that disapproving look on his face again. "I meant no offense, I only care about the safety of our people, your safety my Queen."
Effect
While it may be called a Teleport, it isn't. It uses the same form in the spell structure, but it stops at the movement portion. I know it may seem like breaking a spell, but give it enough time and you will begin to see the steps in it. It does demand more concentration than a portal, but it has a wide verity of uses. -Enlightened Jacque Nex, teaching Gjorn a new set of spells after ascending beyond Acolyte.Transverse Teleportation could more accurately be described as a stasis. It holds an object, living or no, in a temporary stasis set to a relative position in the universe. Meaning that despite being held in place in time, they still move with the cosmos, so a body held still isn't going to fly off into space as the planet orbits around its star.
Side/Secondary Effects
Fickle use of this spell is encouraged rigorously, living beings still use their oxygen while in stasis, in effect for the living it is like holding them underwater. Inanimate objects can be held indefinitely so long as the caster doesn't have their concentration broken. The caster is able to move the object where they wish with continuous teleports, however the range is far more limited than if left stationary. Where a caster can move upwards to a mile away from their target if held still, they can only move a few yards away from them if they are carrying the object with them.
