The Great History

"Before anything there was the Light, the Dawn & Darkness."

Birth of the Gods

Before there was anything there was only the light, the dawn & darkness. These three elements battled for control of the unknown for a length not measurable by time. In this struggle a great cataclysm would occur, this event would give form to a realm of no physical form and would become known as Ak'asa. Out of this new realm three beings would form and become gods of all the universe. They would become known as the Incarnate.

The Incarnate

Emerging from this event would be three great and powerful entities, later named the Incarnate. The Incarnate would become the first beings of the universe. For time unknown these gods would clash and struggle to become the one true power. This battle would result in both great destruction and nothing.
Dai'kar, The Embodiment of Light
The bringer of light. Creator of the physical realm. Dai’kar is the father of all creation.
Rek'nis, The Embodiment of Darkness
The bringer of darkness. Where Dai’kar is the creator of all, he is its destruction. He is the equal and opposite to the world of eternal light.
Bhra'tis, The Embodiment of Dawn
Youngest of the Incarnate, Bhra'tis is the Dawn, the changing of light to darkness. He tows the line between worlds and maintains the balance.

Creation of Provarus

For many years this struggle would continue until the gods became bored of Akasa. After eons of struggle, Dai’kar would slowly gather larger amounts of the realm's excess energy and create a new realm that would hold a physical form, This realm would become known as Provarus. When Dai’kar created the new realm, Ak'asa surrounded it and began to pull it into the immaterial realm. Piece by piece the new realm was torn apart. It was then that Dai’kar crafted a great wheel to control the flow of energy and kept it grounded in the new physical realm. This creation would become known as the God's Wheel.

The God’s Wheel

“The God’s Wheel is what sustains all life. With every turn time passes in the world and life takes a new breath. It is what gives the sun its heat and the moon its light. It is what gives the world's storms their fury. It is what anchors the world in the material realm where it can survive. It took immense power to create the material realm and it is in constant struggle to remain on its plane. To break the wheel would pull the world’s energy back into Ak'asa and destroy all life on it.”

The Celestials

During the creation of the new realm, the event would dispel energy that would form beings lesser to the Incarnate, but still of great power. These lesser beings would be known as the Celestials. While deemed lesser by the three elder gods, their numbers swelled over time. These beings would hold great power and become the gods of the new realm. With the coming of the Celestials the Incarnate would separate them into three Pantheons, one for each Incarnate to rule and watch over. Eventually the pairing of these beings would give life to the first born beings of the world, these beings would become known simply as the Children of the Gods.

Children of the Gods

Born from the pairing of the Celestials & the Incarnate, the Children held a fraction of their parents power but possessed their immortality. Alongside their power they possessed the same will to create new life. Within the barren paradise the Children would create all manners of life. They would fill the forest and sea’s with all manners of animals. For many years the world would continue to be filled with all manners of creations. But eventually the children would also tire of their creations and brought forth the idea to create beings above simple animals but far below the level of the gods. This would eventually lead to the creation of the First born.

The First Born

Centuries after the creation the world was filled with all manners of life. All these creatures were of pure animalistic nature. Seeking to create a new form of life, the First Born were created. These beings were of animal nature but were given the gift of enlightenment. Over time these beings would clash for a plethora of reasons. While some of these beings appeared as natural, there were some that were of the most unnatural form.

The gods would eventually realize that the first born would become creatures of immense strength and lead to chaos throughout the lands. What followed the First born would be an event known as the Devastation. War between the gods would almost break the world. First born would choose a side and death would fill the lands.

The Devastation

"No mortal can agree on what exactly happened during the Devastation, some texts read of a natural cataclysm that destroyed Upursal. Others tell of a War between the Gods and First Born that brought untold death. The mortal races can only speculate as only fragments of what occurred remain."
Centuries after the creation of the Mortal Realm and the First Born, the Gods would make their home on the mountainous continent of Khal'san. From upon these heights they would watch over the world and all their creations. The Gods of Light would build a dwelling atop Stones Edge as its height towered over everything in the world. The Gods of the Dawn would construct their home above the gateway to the afterlife at Konos. Further to the South, the Gods of Darkness would build their keep in the depths of the White Stone Mountains, here is where they would begin their plot to overthrow the other gods.

The Second Coming of Hellfire

“When hellfire once again rains down from Ak'asa, I will set upon the world and finally destroy all that you have created, For you have destroyed all that I have loved.”   “When the sky falls upon the lands, it will be the stars that fall first. When they do, they will have the courage to do what I could not.”   -Last words spoken between Dai'kar and Rek'nis before he was sealed away for all eternity.

The Mortal Races

"And so it was decided, the world would once again be filled with life."

Birth of the Mortal Races

After the Devastation, the remaining First Born would eventually fade into history. The remaining Gods gathered at Konos and decided what would come next. For centuries the gods debated if the world should be destroyed or if new life should be created. Eventually the gods decided that the world needed life once again. Dai'kar & Am'sa set out once again and began to create new life.

The Age of Prosperity

For many centuries the mortal races lived in nomadic tribes. Near the end of the Age of Tribes they would begin to settle and learn to farm the land. This would give way to the forming of the first nations of the world. This would also mark the beginning of the Age of Prosperity. The settled tribes would flourish and construct cities and eventually form different nations. Trade would begin between the cities and the first trading company would form. For thousands of years every race would prosper and grow.

The Age of Man

"Peace has not been a common word as of late, but those of more radical thinking have long been in the ground. Their children have taken up the sword but may not have the heart to swing it."
The Bloodletting has long passed into the history books, a new generation rules over the land and while many still hold old grudges the world is in a new age. The age of man has propelled the Proto as masters of the land. New gods have risen up in their image. While many wish for their new peace to continue, there are those who wish to once again take up the sword and finish what their ancestors started. The Drums of war beat in the north, a tribe once lost has returned and seeks to take back what was lost.
