The Proto

Birth of the Mortal Races

After the Devastation, the remaining First Born would eventually fade into history. The remaining Gods gathered at Konos and decided what would come next. For centuries the gods debated if the world should be destroyed or if new life should be created. Eventually it was decided that the world needed life once again. Dai'ba & Ammsa set out and began to create new life.   The first of the mortal races created were known as the Proto. These beings lived short but meaningful lives. They were the once race to be given free will. Within the Proto, six tribes were created.

The Six Proto Tribes

Hil'ma

The first proto tribe to walk the world were the Hil'ma, or First Men. They did not travel far and made their home in the Northern Horn of Nog Ereud. Here the Hil'ma flourished and became masters of the horse. Through time they would become known as the Drav. The Drav would become natural craftsmen, taking great pride in their works.

Av'ma

The next tribe was the Av'ma, or Tall Men. The Av'ma were the first proto tribe that was viewed as flawed by the gods. While they were beings of great beauty and strength, in their hearts that were flawed. Through time they would become known as the Frons.

Hid'ma

Folling the Av'ma were the Hid'ma, or Walking Men. The Hid'ma were given the gift of curiosity by the gods. They found no joy in finding a home but longed to travel the new world and discover its every secret. As a nomadic people this allowed them to travel to every corner of the world and become the first tribe to trade in goods found in every land.

Ta'ma

The next tribe was the Ta'ma, or Island Men. The Ta'ma were said to be born far from the other tribes in the distant islands of the Golden Sea. They were a tribe that would become favored by . They would become the first tribe to take to the sea and find the ends of the world. Their bravery through the waters of the world gained them favor with sea mother. Over time they would become known as the Ossen.

Sur'ma

Of all the proto tribes, the Sur'ma was the only one who revered the gods. Known as the Sun Men, upon their creation they did not bask in the beauty of the world. They found the world dull compared to the greatness of the gods. The Sur'ma would become fanatics who would easily spill blood in the name of the gods. In time they would become known as the Sowes.

Har'ma

Last of the Proto tribes were the Har'ma, or Iron Men. This tribe brough great confusion to the gods when they were created. Many of the gods believed them to be too violent for the world they were rebuilding. But Dai'ba believed that a tribe of men was needed to maintain order among the tribes. Not losing their waring nature, the Har'ma would eventually become known as the Travgin, Slayer of Mammoths.

The Lost Tribe

Gh'asi

During the creation of the proto tribes there was another that is no longer spoken of. The Gh'asi, or Grass Men, were a proto tribe that was created with a curosity similar to the Hid'ma. Where the Hid'mawere curious of what lied over the horizion, the Gh'asi were curious of life itself. They did not understand why the gods gave them their free will. Or why they lived lives so short compared to their creators. In this curiosity the gods recognized something in them that could end all that they created. They were cast out of the heart lands and fled to the distant grass lands.
