Mugrund, Blaze of Pillaris, the 9th

Mugrunden Kulsavas (a.k.a. The Burning Drake)

Mental characteristics

Personal history

The 9th child of the Golden Dragon and Bronze Queen, Mugrund, the one infamous for burning his own mother as she pushed him out. His skin burnt like coals in the hands of the nurses trying to clean him, only his father was able to bundle him in enough wet cloth to contain his heat. Everything about him was magical, he grew much faster than his siblings, his eyes grew a bright red, and he was able to manipulate fire before he even learned to speak.   As he grew, he became an expert at many things, it was as if all things he turned his head to; he would quickly become an expert of. He became a master pyromancer, surpassing many, even those who studied the art all their lives. He became a master of many weapons, his favorite began that of a simple staff, as he took on many and all and won in fair combat. However, the one thing that interested him most, was the art of becoming a black smith.   He would happily spend hours if not days in the forge, creating beautiful jewelry, powerful weapons, and strong armor. Thus, as time went on, as if pulled by the flow of magic, he made his way to the dalvarian peaks, seeking their wisdom in the art of smithing. With access to their great libraries, he quickly became a master smith, using his might in pyromancy to aid him in his work, thus gaining the respect of the dalvarians in the pillars of fire, quickly claiming a leadership role over them.   What no one truly saw, or ever truly understood, was that Mugrund felt empty. His desire to become the best at whatever he did was not out of passion, but out of fullfilment, for deep inside her felt there was emptiness. The emotions he showed were not true, for he felt nothing. The only mortal upon this earth he felt for, was Zamiri, his own mother. No matter how much he became overwhelmed or how hard he pushed himself, he knew he would always be able to rely on his mother. Which meant everything changed when his mother died, giving birth to his 12th sibling, Uadjit.   Since then, its all steadily gone down hill, as Mugrund grew to be more and more isolated from both the empire and his people. He never even hurried his way to Gatherlak when news of his father's ill health spread, such was his self imposed loneliness. But as a golden age turned into an era of death, he would leave his halls.   He came out with perhaps the strongest and most dangerous weapons and armor ever created, and quickly dispatched all those who would dare attack his home. When the Drubian Empire attempted to reach the pillars with a massive force, he with his army burned them to the ground, and soon the attacks lessened, as the war turned to silence. Once more, he turned back into his halls of work, leaving the management of his home to the hall of artisans, and has once more hid himself from the world.   Times are changing, and people speak of that the pillars are spewing more smoke than ever before, and mayhaps the great blaze himself prepares for war, and this time he will find his purpose, in becoming the next dragon. Of course, that becomes up to the dalvarians, who constantly push for their king to leave his hall and lead his people. Aaaand also perhaps find a suitor and make a few heirs on the side.

Education

There is one simple way to summarize Mugrund's education; he's a genius. There are few topics in all of drakenelm that he is not simply competent in, but also an expert in. He could tell you each and every name of every city in all of the continent, from the biggets capital to the smallest village, and at the same time complete mathematics problem that requires multiple minds to complete in the time that he does.

Mental Trauma

Mugrund refuses to leave his hall of creation, for there is no mortal out there that will make him want to leave. He simply has no desire for it, his mind simply cannot supply him with the will for it. He spends all his days in his hall, only sometimes speaking to his advisors when they require him for important matters.

Personality Characteristics

Likes & Dislikes

In a way Mugrund is very tragic when it comes to his hobbies and interests, because he truly has no pleasure for the things he does, except of course smithing. But even then, he smiths because its the thing that closest for him comes anywhere close to kindling his empty heart and give his life meaning, and even then he feels unsatisfied every-time
