She was born in Seyis-Gol to a well-traveled yet dysfunctional merchant family, through which she met her Ustrarian husband Phirus, a member of the Ustrarian City Guard. Having fully realized a growing estrangement from her birth family, the pair did not adopt the Ustrarian custom of Phirus taking her surname -- instead she took his.
