Ornarin Acosaphaura (Orr-NAR-rin Ah-KO-sah-FOW-rah)

Ornarin was the second-youngest son of Devatska and Eraleon Acosaphaura, and the only member of the immediate family to not serve in the Itoqir. Instead, he had begun a promising career in the Ustrarian City Guard in order to remain close to home and close to his new wife, Briagaela. Like his father and all but one of his brothers, Ornarin too would be found dead in suspicious circumstances -- down a side street of Korzhûn with his throat slit, having never drawn his hatchet.
Although his family tended to consider him the more naive of the brothers, there was no denying his upstanding loyalty and reputation, and sense of justice. His sympathetic nature made him predisposed to life as a Shepherd of Leaving -- unusual for a Kivan -- but after severe dissuasion by his mother and parents he worked instead toward candidacy for the personal guard of the Korzhûn Stewardship. He also had the strongest investment in family ties and living close by, and was of a generally gentle disposition. He was often teased for being more fragile, and that Andras 'picked up whatever [Ornarin] had dropped'.
Devatska referred to him as her 'devoted one'.
