Kohvneir Lorfras
Kohvneir Lorfras (a.k.a. Kohv)
Born in a small village on the border of Tymantheran territory, Kohvneir was just a child when his home was raided by Untheric army deserters. His parents and siblings were all killed in the ensuing raid, with Kohvneir and another boy from the village, Iomar, being taken together and eventually sold off into slavery to Thay.
The two of them would start as servants to an up-and-coming noble and his family, serving there for many years until the man's assassination. Kohv and Io would then be sold off into gladiatorial service, eventually being bought off once again and transferred into the military, years following. They would initially be a part of the country's slave infantry, but would later be assigned to a slave-hunting detachment near the end of their "career."
The two would eventually manage an escape, coming into contact with an underground freedom train movement that would manage to smuggle them out of the country. They would carefully navigate the lands over the next 6-12 months, taking jobs here and there in order to sustain themselves until their path would finally leave them at Waterdeep's steps.
(Born under the Sign of the Star and with the New Selûne under the Sign of the Eagle)

Carries an ornate silver dagger with a red gem placed centerpiece on its hilt. Taken from the body of Kohv's Thayan company commander after he killed the man during his escape. While he'll use the blade in combat when necessary, he prefers to wet it only on certain individuals - namely slavers, especially if they're of the Thayan variety.
Wears a thick-laced leather necklace with three wood-carved pendants attached to its string. Each is shaped in the form of a small triangle, with the symbols of Torm etched within the center of the leftmost one; Tempus, within the center of the middle piece; and Tyr, within the center of the rightmost medallion. This is one of his earliest attempts at wood carving, which he periodically replaces over time as his skills improve with significant enough jumps.
Keeps a small, poorly made wooden figurine of a dragon inside his bag. A gift he made a long time ago for an old friend. It's light in color - mostly tan with deep splotches of darkened red bled into its form, seemingly at random. It's one of his most valued possessions so he maintains it on his person at all times and rarely lets anyone else touch, let alone hold it.

Mistreatment of the weak and misfortunate.
Those who go against their word without good reason.
Backstabbers and traitors.
Virtues & Personality perks

People:
Iomar Lorfras - Kohv's "brother." They are not related by blood but were rather taken together from the same village. They simply consider and call each other brothers.
Halmor (Deceased) - A fellow slave gnoll who Kohv grew extremely close to while he was part of the Thayan gladiatorial games. They worked as a servant of the house he served under. They were executed by pyre for giving aid to another servant attempting to escape, with all hands of the house forced to watch.
Belias Hawthorne - A career soldier (Rank: Civilar) in Waterdeep's City Guard and member of the Lords' Guildsmen (Rank: Lieutenant). Belias became one of Kohv and Io's first points of "official" contact within the city, taking on a sizable number of missions for the man and quickly earning his trust and respect. They would be the one to offer sponsorship in the Lords' Guildsmen to Kohvneir.
"The Prince" - Leader of an underground railroad in Thay which helped Kohv and his brother escape the country.

People:
Markos Dasan - The Thay noble who owned him during his time as a gladiator. He ordered the execution of Kohvneir's closest friend, Halmor. Building internal issues in Thay forced their retreat far from the country where they've since built up their own criminal business primarily based around the slave trade. While Kohv hunts slavers in general, this is his primary target who he would do next to anything to get his hands on.
Janak Amagol (Deceased): Kohv's initial Thayan master who had purchased him and his brother upon their arrival to Thay. Assassinated in a political plot Kohv has no real idea of. He has a very complicated history with the man, simultaneously hating them for what they were while also considering them as a father or father figure.

Hobbies & Pets
Hobbies:
Wood carving. He's still an amateur, so he tends to keep his work simple. His favorite pieces to create are small animal figurines.
Walking (and general exercise). He loves going on walks, especially throughout new places or places he hasn't explored much.
Reading and writing. He enjoys jotting down notes and memories of his travels.
Cooking. Very, very much an amateur. He can manage basic cuisine, but anything marginally complex tends to lead to... less than stellar results.
Pets:
He once had a pet rat, but the innkeeper (of his residence) was none too happy about it and demanded its removal. He begrudgingly let it go outside after a wringing from his brother.
