Charm Contagion

Magic is a strange thing... it is so thoroughly integrated into the Flying Flux's design that it can often be confused with "logic". Because of its limitless potential, a complete understanding of how it functions is impossible for any finite mind to comprehend, and therefore unpredictable. This particular spell is a world-wide change in the perception of 'beauty' based on the opinions of a single populous.

Effect

Use of the Law of Perception to modify one's own physical appearance to be more glamorous, whether passively or with intent, has always been a regular occurrence. However, a youthful mage and princess by the name of Linn Ennim noticed a certain trend in various... levels of beauty. During a particularly "dull" study session, an astounded member of the Mage Association scribbled down one of her numerous mental processes and presented it (with regards to the child, of course).

There are three primary effects:

1. A change in physical appearance. This part is simple; using the Law of Perception, most Fluxers and demigods are able to manipulate their physical appearance. Many will apply this to adopt a more flattering self-image, but few are able to epitomize beauty. Prior to this spell's discovery, it was thought that a sense of "beauty" varied from being to being.
2. Acknowledged as "beautiful" by environment (peers, enemies, bypasser, etc). If the new appearance is accepted by a large number of first-hand witnesses, then an Illogically Understandable phenomenon takes place. This one will directly effect Chaos, and actually create a magical 'standard' for what is or isn't beautiful.
3. Receives "Charm Contagion" (aura). That "magical standard" is actually recognized by the world's natural magic, which creates a subconscious image of what is or isn't "beautiful". Because this entire process is consciously initiated, it is categorized as a spell that targets one's aura.

Discovery

As stated previously, this was originally discovered by Linn Ennim, the current Mournful Queen of Lippit who had a fascination with magic (among other things). Many of the greatest discoveries in modern history were made by this child prodigy, though she refuses to accept monetary compensation because "they were obvious".

It took very little effort and is therefore undeserving of praise or reward.
