Demigods Species in The Flying Flux | World Anvil

Demigods

The mildly mocked species of Flying Flux

These half-blooded creatures wander Flux in search of their ancestor's approval but find that gods have little pity, even for their own. Scorned for their godhood and abandoned to their mortality, demigods are widely hated by the residents of the Flying Flux and are most often found on the wrong end of many Fluxer jokes.

Basic Information

Anatomy

Demigods have an innate understanding of the world around them, down to its founding natural laws. This makes them incredibly unpleasant, but also masters in the exploitation of supernatural loopholes. They're typically found in simplistic disguises, but are easily recognizable by the orange triangle (symbol of godhood) seared on their forehead.

Genetics and Reproduction

Demigods are actually very similar to humans by design and their variations are usually very slight. We are a basic template of what most gods looks like, so it would be only natural that half-gods appear similar to us. They are typically binary in gender, accepting the male and female roles rather than asexual or a group-reliant reproduction.

Growth Rate & Stages

Unless killed, demigods will live forever. These beings are highly regenerative, aging to their prime in around twenty years and absolutely no further.

Biological Cycle

A demigod adapts to his/her environment rapidly, even growing unique appendages to assist in their often frustrating endeavors and survive the various cruelties of the C-world.

Additional Information

Perception and Sensory Capabilities

Demigods are quick to pick up on disturbances in the world around them, which is partly because of their physiology, but it's usually a side-effect of being raised surrounded by beings that hates you. Their senses are almost unbelievably powerful and finely tuned, making them either deadly assassins or elusive little bunnies depending on the situation.
