The Bloodclaw
Wolf of the Mountains
Guardian of the Mountains (a.k.a. Bloodclaw)
For as feral his fury might be, his intentions are humane. Even as dark as life can be, he held to that one bit of hope to protect others.
The Bloodclaw is said to once have roamed the mountains of the north, a Skinwalker that protected the local farmers and travellers throughout their journeys there. Although his origins have been left up to interpretation, many old folk still tell the tale of the fabled outcast.
The Wolf of the Mountains
Many have described the Bloodclaw as a humanoid individual, twisted by their Lycanthropy heritage through canine claws for hands and feet. Fur drenched in dried blood, nails as sharp as daggers. Anything remotely human was kept beneath a layer of plate and cloth, creating the myth of the wolf of the mountains.
An Outcast Sworn to Protect
Little is known about the history of where the Bloodclaw originally came from, though theories exist that he might be an outcast from a mountain village. Born a Skinwalker, he was forced to abandon his home and survive in the wild, though not alone: adventurers through the mountain paths saw the accursed child, offering him rations and warmth where others couldn't.
As the years passed, he grew up on the tales of explorers, deciding to look beyond his own imperfections. Dawning the plate given by one of those travellers, the man cast aside his name for that of the Bloodclaw, the wolf of the mountains.
What followed were the tales of the cloaked figure, fighting the many monsters of the mountain range he grew up in. Using a mix of his own bestial traits and even some alchemical concoctions, he kept the path safe for merchants and travellers alike.
Nobody knows exactly what has happened to him, many presuming that old age took him. Alas, even without his presence the mountain range he swore to protect remains safe, the howling of the wolves seen as a blessing to those travelling through it.
This is a very clever way to immortalize Red, and I gotta say it's awesome. Very well deserved. Also, like your style and layout for the article.
