Madame Niamh is the head of the Circus from the Edge of the World. A Fairy of formidable age, having run the show for decades. A mysterious woman who not even her employees are aware of what she does. But also an entertainer that knows the true magic of showmanship.
Physical Description
General Physical Condition
Niamh is of a significant age for her kind, an elderly Fairy whose hair has turned silver grey. Deep ruby eyes covered by her flowing hair, her small frame eclipsed by two large butterfly wings. Each one adorned with large eye-like patterns, their scales glittering in the light.
Special abilities
Like a like of other Fae, Niamh has a major affinity with arcane magic of all kinds. For her, her speciality lies in conjuration and illusion in the performative form. Light shows and whole spectacles manifested from her spells, stimulating all senses.
Nobody is sure how far how potential lies. Speculation surrounding her assumes she is on the high end of magic users, a powerful individual at the very least. Some say she is just really good at tricking the mind, others believe that reality bends around her will. But everyone agrees upon that she is noteworthy Fae amongst the other Fae on Fabulae.

Failures & Embarrassments
Despite running a successful circus, Niamh has had incidents that caused injuries and even deaths amongst the crew and audience. It may only have been two or three throughout her career, but they left an impact on the mind of the poor Fae.
Mental Trauma
Decades in the business left Niamh with some mental scars of performance incidents. Mistakes leading to broken necks and bloodshed on the stage, something she wants to bury and forget in her mind. Even minor accidents make her reconsider entire acts, out of fear of losing people.
Nobody knows how many times it happened or how many she lost because of these incidents. She only says it has been too many that she regrets, and that she won’t lose any ever again.

Virtues & Personality perks
Niamh is an excellent entertainer, able to hype up a crowd with her presence alone. Her extroverted nature and understanding of showbiz makes her know what an audience wants.
With it also comes a very healthy work attitude, always thinking of new acts and managing things in the back. It is rare for her to be sitting still, wanting to make sure everything is in a peak condition at all times. From the equipment she works with to the performers of her circus.
Vices & Personality flaws
She is a notorious chain smoker when it comes to her pipes. The fairy’s rarely seen without her long pipe, smoking something to calm her nerves. Often several types of herbs, leading to her wagon getting flooded with a sweet scent whenever she is busy with paperwork.
Niamh’s paranoia also makes her rather strict, wanting everything double and triple checked. Even if she likes there to be a show, she does not take any risks without precautions. If an idea can’t guarantee complete safety, she rejects it entirely.
