Summoning Expander

Summoning Expanders are a type of tool used by mages in order to create large summoning runes or barrier runes. The small stones, carved from Entherel have the desired runes carved into the base. A Magic Users is then able to channel their magic through the Entherel stone and the rune will enhance in size creating a large magic print of the rune on the expander.
As most Entherel is stored at The Shard, the mage-smiths are the primary makers of the stones, though the etching on the base can be done by any Magic Users.

Manufacturing process

The Entheral is sanded down into ta semi circular stone, with one flat end which gives space for the owner to etch the runes needed. Around the top curved part of the stone, magic-smiths etch an enchantment which allows for the applification of the etched rune, needing only the magic of the user to activate the magic.

Significance

These items have become very significant in the day to day activities of Magic Users. Most magic users carry a summoning expander around with them at all times.
