Personal history
Ravoxin was born and raised in the deserts of Drakenheim. His clan has served the blue Dragon Yiltor for hundreds of years.
His father, Kolgrek Yiltor, was one of the generals of Yiltor's army. His older brother, Thurkearoposs, followed in their father's footsteps, and his older sister, Ulharvyth, became a divine caster. Growing up, Ravoxin was a capable warrior, but did not have the gifts for command that his brother did. He was also not interested in religious matters like his sister. His appearance is more human-like than most Dragonborn, so his father tried to encourage him to become an infiltrator, but he did not really have the stealthy skills seen as needed by such a role (especially after he reached his full height). Raised at the top of society in Drakenheim, Ravoxin had a comfortable upbringing, though he never really fit in. In part this was due to his nature not really fitting in with his family, and also because his more human-like appearance.
However, as he grew, he began to question the way his society was structured. His questions made his family uncomfortable, and his sister angry, as she felt they were blasphemous. Eventually, the situation escalated to violence- when Ulharvyth attacked him in a fanatical rage. It was at this time that Ravoxin's sorcerous abilities manifested- unfortunately killing his brother Thurkearoposs and scarring his sister.
Kolgrek Yiltor punished him by selling him into slavery to an ancient White Dragon. This dragon soon began moving his lair to Nifidor. In the process of this move, Ravoxin and several other slaves were being flown in a cage by the dragon across the Erhelka, when Ravoxin's master was attacked by a Bronze Dragon. The cage dropped in the freezing sea. Ravoxin was able to blast the lock on the cage and escape before it sank- but then blacked out due to the cold water.
Ravoxin woke in a small cottage on the coast of what he later found out to be the Kalenish Principalities, the foundling guest of a reclusive wizard. He was told that a fisherman had found him floating in the sea barely alive, and had brought him to the wizard for help. The wizard spent the next year teaching Ravoxin how to control his gift, and the local languages. One day, Ravoxin woke in the ruins of the cottage, with the wizard nowhere to be found. Gathering his few belongings, he set out to see where his destiny lay.
He has been awarded membership in the Order of the Knight Companions in 1251 for services rendered to the High King of Tolpereth.
